The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 926

Something was wrong with Mya when she woke up. When a nurse went to give Mya medicine in the afternoon, she did not see her when she walked into the ward. Instead, she saw a chair placed by the window.

The nurse then realized something was wrong. She took a deep breath before dropping the medical tray in her hand and ran to the window. She nearly fainted when she saw what was happening.

She thought, “This is the fifteenth floor! If she accidentally falls, every bone in her body will break!’

The nurse widened her eyes. She trembled as she shouted, “M-Ms. Harper! What are you doing?! Quickly come back in. It’s too dangerous. If you fall, you’ll be seriously injured.”

Mya was gripping the iron railing on the wall. She accidentally hooked her hospital gown on it. No matter how she tugged, it would not come off.

Mya did not realize the danger she was in. She even asked the nurse innocently, “Can you come over and help me? My gown is stuck, and I can’t get it out.”

The nurse anxiously responded, “Don’t move. I’ll find someone to help you immediately.”

The nurse looked at the precarious situation. Mya was only standing on a small protruding surface with one foot.

The nurse quickly went to get the bodyguards at the door. The bodyguards, who were well trained, did not dare to go and save her without any safety measures when they saw her dangerous situation.

They were all very shocked at her actions. To them, Mya was not smart, so they wondered how she had managed to get herself stuck on the small protruding area hanging in mid- air. The hospital quickly contacted Fred again.

He had not expected Mya to cause so much trouble after he had just left for a while. Fred frowned very tightly when he saw the message from the bodyguards about Mya’s situation.

He said, “What a fearless troublemaker. When Mya saw a group of people intending to approach her to take her back, she was afraid of being beaten and locked in a dark room again, so she walked to the side in fear.

The nurse worriedly said, “Ms. Harper, please don’t move again. You might fall if it can’t bear your weight.”

Mya was a stubborn person. Once she made up her mind about something, she would never change it. She responded, “I won’t go back with you all!

“You’ll all just join that bad guy and bully me. He even tore up my photo. I hate you all.”

Mya tried to grab the railing nearby, but she missed it and almost fell, causing everyone to gasp. Fred arrived at the hospital in a black car. He got out of the car. He then raised his head and immediately saw the reckless Mya, with a group of people trying to save her.

There were many onlookers downstairs. If this situation continued, it would cause Fred trouble. Fred emanated a cold vibe as he strode into the building. When he arrived at the ward, a bodyguard had already put on a safety rope to bring Mya back in.

However, Mya resisted. And the bodyguard did not dare to do anything to her. He was afraid that she might react intensely and fall from the fifteenth floor.

When everyone saw Fred arrive, they gave way for him. Fred said, “Go downstairs and prepare the safety airbags. If anything happens to her, I’ll make sure all of you die with her.”

Fred was a man of his word.

The bodyguards responded, “Okay.”

Mya was still slowly moving downward. The people in other rooms were all peeking their heads out watching this dangerous scene.

Fred frowned as he looked at Mya, ” When are you planning to stop messing around? Get back in immediately.”

Fred already had a scar on his face which made him look fierce. Now that he yelled at Mya, she became even more afraid of him.

Mya was startled, but she did not listen to what he said. She mumbled, “You’re a bad guy. I don’t want to go back with you all. I want to go home and see my parents.”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
