The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 927

Fred said, “Mya! I’m talking to you!”

Mya felt annoyed by him. She angrily lifted her head and shouted, “Stop annoying me. I don’t want to talk to you. I’ll go home once I get downstairs.

Fred had never been angered by anyone like this before. She was the only person who had managed to do so. He said, “Riley, send a helicopter here as soon as possible.”

Riley responded, “Only Mr. Jardin can help us with this. A helicopter from Jardin Corporation to here takes only about ten minutes.”

When Riley called, Zach was accompanying Madelyn out of the examination room. After Kevin answered Riley’s call, he reported the situation to Zach. Zach said, “Go and check the situation.”

Kevin responded, “Okay.”

Madelyn was wearing a hospital gown. They were in a quiet corridor. When she heard Mya’s name, she asked Zach, ” What happened to Mya?”

Zach replied, “She’s fine, don’t worry.”

When Kevin personally went there in a helicopter, he saw Mya hanging on the wall. Mya thought some bad people were coming to get her when she heard the thrum of the helicopter.

She climbed down very anxiously and suddenly slipped. The helicopter moved nearer to her, and Kevin managed to grab the back of Mya’s collar just in time to save her life. He then exerted considerable effort to pull her up.

“Let go of me, you bad guy.” Mya was kicking her feet while struggling. Kevin responded, “Ms. Harper, it’s me! ”

Mya finally quieted down completely when she heard his voice. Her eyes brightened as she asked, “You’re here? What about Madelyn? Did she come too?”

Kevin replied, “Ms. Jent is doing great. Don’t worry.”

The helicopter landed on the open rooftop. Mya clung to Kevin’s shirt. She was unwilling to let go, “Kevin, can you take me home? There’s a bad guy here. He hit me! My head is swollen, and I want to go home.”

The door on the rooftop was kicked open. Fred appeared with a strong presence. Mya was frightened when she saw him. She did not dare to speak a word. She immediately hid behind Kevin. She did not dare to show her face.

Fred approached and said, “I owe him one.”

Kevin nodded in acknowledgment, ” You’re too kind, Mr. Turner. Since she’s fine, I’ll leave now.”

Kevin turned around, but Mya gripped his shirt and did not want to let go. She wanted to secretly leave with him.

Fred frowned and stretched his hand to pull Mya back. She was unsteady on her feet as she tried to grab Kevin, but no matter how she tried, she failed. Her back was against Fred’s sturdy chest.

Mya cried, “Kevin, can you ask Madelyn to take me home? They bullied me and hit me. I want to go home…”

Kevin expressionlessly got into the helicopter without looking back. Fred carried Mya in his arms and went back to the ward. He then threw her on the bed. After Mya experienced a profound trauma, she became more afraid to get close to Fred who was dangerous and volatile.

To her, Fred was now a terrifying person she wanted to avoid getting close to.

Mya hugged herself and covered her head in the corner of the bed. One of her shoes had fallen off, and the sole of her foot was completely black, “Don’t hit my head, it’ll make me stupid.”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
