The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 645

Madelyn said, “I accept it. After all, it’s indeed my fault that took up everyone’s time.” Jane responded, “It’s good that you know. I hope you won’t make everyone cover for you again for this project.”

Madelyn replied, “Okay.” This was their first bonus. Everyone was thinking about how they should celebrate tonight.

However, they received a sudden notice that Encounter Gaming was not satisfied with the scenery sketches and required adjustments.

Unfortunately, the part they were unsatisfied with was the one Madelyn was responsible for, which happened to be the part Jane had completed for her.

The detail of the scenery did not match Encounter Gaming’s requirements. No one expected the artwork to be sent back for revision. Someone complained, “Now, instead of our celebration, we have to stay back for overtime.”

“Who can we blame? Someone delayed the progress.”

“Ah, so annoying! I thought we could finish work early today.”

Madelyn left a heavy mark on the white drawing paper with the pencil she was holding for the composition. Amidst the complaints, Madelyn’s calm voice could be heard, “You all can go ahead. I’ll make the adjustments. I’ve already completed half of it before this. I can get it done tonight.”

Clement asked, “Do you need any help? Just when Madelyn was about to say something, Jane suddenly said in a cold voice, “No need. Madelyn, you’re fired.”

“What?” One of them was very surprised.

Jane stood up and walked over to Madelyn. She then placed her phone in front of Madelyn to show her the email, “The person in charge that you worked with, Charlie, received a report stating that your previous sketches were suspected of plagiarism. Now,

Encounter Gaming has issued a notice to ask us for an explanation.”

Madelyn responded, “That’s impossible! I didn’t plagiarize!”

Jane said, “You didn’t? Take a look at this yourself then.” Everyone in the studio crowded around Madelyn.

Madelyn was instantly petrified when she looked at the comparison from the anonymous report. The alleged plagiarized artist was a renowned creative painter from Germany. It showed that the artwork she was accused of plagiarizing was the artwork that the painter created three years ago.

Jane continued saying, “The work we submitted yesterday has all been sent back now because of you. Encounter Gaming wants to check for plagiarism.

“If it’s serious, I have to pay ten times the penalty. Madelyn, you’re Prof. Monet’s only apprentice. Plagiarism alone is a grave offense against Prof. Monet’s principles. How did a student like you get into Paris Art Academy?

“I’ve already informed Prof. Money about your plagiarism, and he agreed to let you leave the studio.

“You can pack your things and leave now.”

Madelyn responded, “I didn’t plagiarize at all. If you all don’t believe me, I can investigate and clear things up. Jane said, “Whether you investigate or not is your business. Right now, please leave!”

Madelyn replied, “I…”

Jane said, “Don’t you understand what I said?”

Madelyn apologized, “I’m sorry.” Other people were all talking about it, No way! Did she really plagiarize? Unbelievable.”

“So, I’ve been working so hard all this time for nothing?”

“Oh my goodness, is she even capable of doing anything? She alone has wasted so much of our time. She should stay home, be the spoiled rich girl, and stop causing trouble for others.”

Clement thought, ‘I want to say a few words to defend Madelyn. But the situation now has become so serious that it’s even alerted Prof. Monet…’

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
