The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 621

Zach handed Lila a black business card with gold embossing, and Lila exaggeratedly covered her mouth. Thank you, thank you!” she said repeatedly. Madelyn noticed the conspicuous words on the name card, “Jardin Corporation.”

When Madelyn lifted her head and was about to look away, her gaze met with Zach’s. Her heart skipped a beat…

‘Zach’s company, Jardin Corporation. Is he really back?’ she wondered to herself. She was then forced into a Bugatti, while Lila was taken away by her family.

It was only then Madelyn realized that Zach was actually driving a million- dollar car. She sat inside like a startled kitten without moving at all.

“You’re all grown up and know how to call the police now, huh? Why do you have to make me worry everywhere you go? Hm?” Zach reached out to touch Madelyn, but she immediately flinched away to keep a distance from him.

Madelyn tensed up all over, “Zach, are you back?” She asked him cautiously. Seeing how nervous she was, Zach narrowed his cold gaze and flashed a mysterious smile at her. He then opened a bottle of red wine, poured a glass, and did not answer her question.

After taking a sip, he took out the same necklace she had thrown away earlier from his pocket. Somehow, it had been fixed. “Come here. I’ll wear it for you.”

“I don’t need it!”

“Do you want to do this the hard way, or do you want to come over yourself?”

Madelyn looked at him resentfully. ” Will you stop forcing me? I told you I don’t want to wear it. “Where are you taking me to? I want to go back to my own apartment.”

“Your apartment is tiny. Why do you want to go back there?” Zach reached over and pulled her closer to him. He made her sit on his lap as he held her waist with one hand and brushed her long hair aside with the other. “You’re not allowed to take it off again.”

Madelyn struggled to break free. “I’m still going to break it even if you put it on for me now. Zach… I don’t understand. What do you want from me? Haven’t you used me enough? I just want to live a peaceful life. Can you please stop disrupting my life?

“You’ve already got a better life. What reason do you have to come to interfere

with mine?”

After Zach fastened the necklace, he leaned closer and kissed her on the neck. “Don’t touch me! Let go!”

When Kevin heard the commotion from behind, he activated the partition between the front and back seats. “Madelyn, don’t forget who you belong to now.

“I’ve never belonged to anyone. I only belong to myself.”

“Unfortunately… not anymore.”

“Zach, you can never keep me in your life.” “We won’t know until we try!” Zach reached under her skirt and caressed her thigh. “Should we try it again in the car?”

Madelyn gritted her teeth and grabbed his hand. “Don’t go over the line. I’m still your sister, after all!”

He immediately stopped what he was doing with his hand as his face darkened upon hearing what Madelyn said.

Madelyn took the opportunity to get up from him and reached to remove the necklace from her neck. Knowing Zach, there was definitely a tracker hidden in it.

“Don’t you dare take it off!” Zach warned her with a cold and hostile gaze.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
