The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning By Max Charming chapter 468

Even though he had been stuck in a coma, Lana had stayed by his side throughout those
years. Even if he never woke up, she would have stayed by his side forever. As a result, Lana
became a sinner in the eyes of the Stewards, but she stayed firmly by his side.

Although they tried several ways to drive her away, Lan never left him behind.
‘So what if he’s disfigured and half paralyzed? I fell in love with Andrew for who he is. I don’t
care what he looks like now,‘

Lana thought.
“Do whatever you want,” Andrew replied, shutting his eyes and ignoring her.
Lana was willing to do anything as long as he did not divorce her. She wiped the tears on her
face and said, “Let me give you a shower, okay? Then we’ll get some sleep and I’ll explain this
to my mother tomorrow.”

To take better care of him, Lana had put her career on hold to learn how to take care of him by
herself. She had stayed by his side all this time and cared for every aspect of his life.

After filling up the bathtub, Lana scrubbed Andrew down with a towel. His back was covered in
burns. After half an hour, Lana helped dress him and had him sit down. Lana blow–dried his
hair, talking to him the entire time.

“Your hair’s gotten longer. Let me cut it for you tomorrow,
alright? By the way, I asked around and found out about a similar case at a hospital in Avalon,
so they might have a solution. When our visas are ready, we can go there together and get
you the treatment,” Lana suggested.

Lana finished blow–drying Andrew’s hair before bringing him to bed. After tucking him in, she
grabbed her pajamas and went to shower. When Lana saw herself in the mirror, her smile
faded, turning into regret, heartbreak, and most of all, fear.

When Lana exited the bathroom, she walked to the bedside and turned off the lights. Just as
she lay down, Andrew, who had his eyes shut, flipped to the other side. Lana instead hugged
him from behind carefully. She buried her face in his back and said, “I’ll never leave you…”
“I love you, Andrew,” Lana whispered.

Andrew opened his eyes. His gaze was dark and he seemed to be struggling internally. He
knew he would not sleep well tonight.
Ethan had been sent to the hospital and had not woken up throughout the night. Upon seeing
his injuries, the nurse had been speechless from anger.

Thankfully, he had been admitted in
time and had been given first aid beforehand, otherwise his injuries would have been infected
and he would have been a lost cause. When it came time to administer the IV drip, the nurses
were at a loss on where to insert the needle. In the end, the head nurse had to do it herself.

Leyton had to do something since no one was there to handle company affairs in place of the
injured CEO. He made the decision to delay all the meetings. He had everything put on hold
until the CEO was able to make a decision.

George also received Leyton’s message and immediately brought bodyguards and servants
over. For security reasons, the whole fifteenth floor was sealed off.

“How did Mr. Arnold end up like this? Why did he suddenly remove all his tattoos?” George asked.
George warned Leyton, “Mr. Spear, you’d better come clean. I need an answer to explain to
Mrs. Arnold Sr.”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
