The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 469 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning By Max Charming chapter 469

Leyton told George everything he knew. Both of them probably guessed that the only person
who could make him do this was Madelyn.

Actually, when Ethan and Madelyn had been together back then, they noticed that Ethan
would only smile in front of Madelyn. She was the one who pulled Ethan out of a tough spot
back then and was the only person who could save him this time.

The one who made the mess should clean it up. Ethan had been willing to let go of the past and resort to doing all this because of Madelyn. Perhaps she would understand that simple fact one day.

George spoke earnestly, “Ms. Jent may not change her mind so easily this time. If Mrs. Arnold
Sr. is willing to help, maybe Mr. Arnold still has a glimmer of hope. Don’t worry, Mr. Spear. Mr.
Arnold will be fine.”

In any case, they could not have anything happen to the only heir of the Arnold family. Leyton
nodded, “I’ll leave Mr. Arnold to you. I still have some company matters I need to take care of.”
“Okay.”

With Ethan unconscious, someone had to make the important decisions for the company
matters. Otherwise, the shareholders might stir up trouble, and who knows what chaos would
ensue then.
In Ethan’s nightmare, there was fire and explosion. “Ethan, let’s break up!”

“1 ”
“What can you give me?”
“I’m completely lying to you. You have nothing, and you want me to be with you? What can
you offer to marry me? Just your words? Or your skills in bed?”

“I “Come to your senses! Haven’t you realized? I’ve always kept you as a backup, a puppet
under my control. I’ve treated you well to ensure your obedience. Did you really think I would
like someone like you?”

The impact flipped the car, sent it rolling down the cliff, and caused it to emit thick white
smoke. Everything in the dream went blood–red, and Ethan woke up in a cold sweat. Looking
at the white ceiling above, he realized it was a dream.

“You’re awake. Mr. Arnold, you’ve finally woken up. I’ll call the doctor right away.”
In under 30 seconds, the doctor and nurse rushed over and examined Ethan. “Don’t worry, Mr.
Arnold. You’re fine now. Just stay in the hospital for a few days and let your wounds heal. Take
a good rest. You’ll be fine in a week.”

The nurse brought a tray of medicine over. “I’ll apply the medication for you.”
Ethan shouted, “Get out!”
“Mr. Arnold, please don’t get agitated.” The nurse was somewhat scared and dared not to approach.

Suddenly, Ethan grabbed a nearby table lamp and threw it at them. “Get out of here!”
Crash! The doctor and nurse quickly dodged. Looking at the table lamp shattered on the ground, they
left immediately. Ethan even drove away the servants of the Arnold family. He now seemed to have returned to his old self. He was fierce, easily angered, and irritable, with no one able to approach him.

The servant said hesitantly, “Mr. Arnold, you should listen to the doctor. Mr. Gibbon has gone
to Ms. Jent. If she sees you like this, she won’t like it.”

These words quickly brought Ethan to his senses. He covered his face, realizing he could not
control his emotions. “Clean up the room and leave.”

“O-Okay.” The servant cleaned up the broken lamp on the floor and hastily left the ward. Even with the mention of Madelyn, he only managed to control his emotions but still refused any treatment.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
