The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 448 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning By Max Charming chapter 448

Madelyn did not know why, but she somewhat wanted to know Zach’s answer.
The room was strangely silent as he blew her hair. Her hair was long, slightly wavy, dense,
and not easy to dry. It was very difficult to take care of.

She would take over an hour to dry her hair completely. Most of the time, she would only dry it halfway. She would then place a towel under her head and go to bed.

It was just past midnight when Zach finished blowing Madelyn’s hair.
The night was still long, she did not know how to pass the time.

Zach turned her head and looked at the messy room. He then carried her and walked out of
the room. Madelyn knew she could not stop what he wanted to do. So, she did not resist.
When he was carrying her downstairs, they ran into Margaret who was going upstairs.

‘Oh my, what are they doing? I don’t even dare to look,’ Margaret thought before saying, “Mr.
Jardin, I just came up to check. Do you still want the chicken soup? It won’t be nice to drink
after tomorrow.”

Zach coldly glanced at her, “Bring some food to my room.”
Margaret wondered why he had said that and with a somewhat shaky voice, she replied, “SSure.”
She watched the two of them bewilderedly as she thought, ‘Oh my goodness, there’s
something inappropriate going on between them! Oh my, oh my god.’

Margaret did not dare to waste any time. She immediately brought some food upstairs. She
knocked on the door before entering the room, and to her surprise, she found Zach helping
Madelyn change her clothes on the bed.

He had just finished guiding her arm through the
sleeve and was pulling the shirt down. The sight startled Margaret so much that she nearly
dropped the food she was carrying.

She thought, ‘Did he just see her naked?’
Zach instructed, “Put the food down and tidy up the room upstairs.”
Madelyn responded indifferently, “No need. I’ll take care of it tomorrow. It’s late, Margaret. You
should go get some rest.”

“O-Okay. Ms. Jent, remember to eat. Don’t starve.”
Madelyn replied, “Okay.”

Zach’s room was simply decorated in a gray and white theme. There was nothing but a few
documents on the table. It was impossible to tell that someone was living in this room.
Zach picked up the chicken soup and fed it to Madelyn, “Get some rest after you finish eating.
I’ll take you out tomorrow.”

“I’ve told you to stop taking care of me. You should go take care of Jadie instead! You’re her
boyfriend. She won’t be happy that you stay at my house all the time.” Madelyn turned her
head to avoid looking at him. She looked indifferent throughout.

Zach, “Madelyn, must you talk to me like this?”
Madelyn responded, “How else do you want me to talk to you? Should I beg you to spare me
or thank you for your generosity for not killing me? To be honest, being in my current situation
isn’t any different from being dead.

I’m just unwilling to accept this. I’ve died once. And yet, I
still can’t escape your control. You don’t have to feel sorry for me and suddenly show mercy.
There’s no point in doing what you’re doing too.

“I’ve said that I won’t kill myself. I’ll stay alive. But I just need time to move on from the
sufferings you’ve brought me.

“I don’t know if I can truly move on. But please stop doing these things in the future! If you
have some shred of affection from when I treated you as a brother and if there’s still a slight
bond between us, let me be alone. I really don’t want to see you anymore.”

Zach emitted a chilling vibe. He gripped Madelyn’s cheeks and forced her to look at him, “You’ll have to see me even if you don’t want to. Even if I drive you insane, you’ll have to spend the rest of your life by my side. “If you want to live, be obedient to me.”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
