The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 447 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning By Max Charming chapter 447

Whenever Madelyn was faced with problems, she would only think about how to escape from
them. She hated this aspect of herself. She also hated that she could not do anything.

However, no one had ever told her how to react to the problems. She was like a scaredy-cat.
Not only did Cecilia look down on her, but every trusted individual around Zach disdained her
too.

She grew up in this kind of environment. She hated that she could not change anything.
Madelyn hugged her pillow as she lowered her head. She did not want to look at the intense
gaze that fell on her. Just when she was about to leave, Zach, who looked gloomy which
Madelyn could not see, walked to her.

He grabbed her arm and plucked the needle from her hand before throwing it on the floor. After that, he dragged her into the bathroom. She struggled defenselessly to resist his touch. Her clothes were torn open, exposing a large area of skin on her chest.

“Don’t touch me!” Madelyn scratched his face and grabbed a comb to throw at him. The
bathroom door was locked. So, she could only crouch in the corner. She was so cold that she
shivered.

She thought he would get angry and hurt her. However, he was unexpectedly calm.
Zach squatted in front of her. He brushed away the hair that was covering her face, “I don’t
want to hurt you. How about I bathe you?”

For the first time, he spoke to her with an asking tone like this.
Ten minutes later, the warm water Zach prepared was ready. He carried her into the bathtub.
Her clothes were forcibly removed. Madelyn sat in the bathtub like a doll that could be played
around with at will.

Zach removed his coat and hung it on the wall. He rolled up the sleeves of his black shirt. He
then used a towel to wipe her body as he said, “The school called me. When do you plan to
go back to school?”

Madelyn stared blankly.
She said, “Leave the Jent residence. I don’t want to see you again. I won’t be able to forget
everything you’ve done to me if you stay here. If I’m still useful to you and you still don’t want
me to die for now, don’t appear in front of me again.”

Madelyn would never be able to move on from her suffering if she continued to see him.
She spoke again, “Shouldn’t you feel satisfied seeing me in my current state?
“You’ve succeeded in your revenge. You’ve ruined me.

Why don’t you just let me continue to rot and become a useless person? In this case, you won’t have to hurt me yourself, right?” Zach squeezed the body wash and applied it to her body.

Her skin was fair. There was a scar on her back that he had not seen before. He stopped his movement for a moment and avoided touching that scar.

Madelyn was right. Zach indeed achieved his goal. But when he saw her in this state, a voice
in his heart asked him to stop his action, ‘If you continue to torment her to such an extent that
she’s no longer herself, you’ll regret it one day.”

He wondered if it would be considered regretting when he wanted to stop hurting her.
Zach did not respond to Madelyn’s words. He just said, “The cherry blossoms in Crescent
Lake Park are in full bloom. Do you want to go there and see it tomorrow?”

Madelyn faintly said, “Will you leave this place if I go?”
Zach did not respond.

After an hour of bath, Zach dried her body. He then carried her to the dressing table. He grabbed the hairdryer to blow her hair. When he was testing the temperature, Madelyn, who was in front of the dressing mirror, finally looked at him, “Zach, have you fallen for me?”

She had wanted to ask that question for a long time. However, Zach did not react in any way. She could only hear the hairdryer blowing beside her ear.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
