The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1325

Liam stood up. He watched as Blake, who looked weary, walked away. ” Blake, what do you want me to do so you’ll like me?”

Blake did not stop walking. Instead, she took even bigger steps and left. She went to the Harper residence, which surprised everyone.

Grace asked, “Blake? Why did you come back here? Where’s Liam? Why didn’t he come back with you?”

Blake stuttered, unable to find the words. She just made up an excuse, saying, “It’s nothing. I just wanted to come back.”

After Hannah and Yael left the wedding last night, they went back to the research institute.

As for Simon, he went to the farm to manage the business.

After Blake went to her room, Grace became worried. She followed her and saw her sitting with a blank expression in the room, not knowing what to do.

When Blake saw Grace, she quickly adjusted her mood. “Grace, why are you here?”

“I came to check on you. Blake, what’s wrong? Did you have a fight with Liam? You just had your wedding yesterday, and you’re already back here alone?” Grace responded.

Blake kept her head down and finally replied after a while, saying, “It’s my problem, but it’s fine. Don’t worry, Liam and I will deal with the things between us.”

Grace asked, “Is it because you think whenever Liam is with you, he’s just following someone else’s advice on everything? Does this make you feel unhappy? Did Olivia text you?”

Blake looked at Grace in surprise. “How did you know about this?”

Grace sighed. She held Blake’s hands and said, “Just before you came back, Liam called me. At first, I didn’t believe what he said, but you did come back here!

“I’m actually very happy that you treat this place as your home. I was worried that when you were mistreated out there, you’d endure it alone and not come back.

But Blake, you’re married now. Things are different from before. No matter what happens, Liam shouldn’t be the only one making compromises.

“He kept in touch with Olivia and told her everything between you two only shows that he cares a lot about you. Otherwise, he wouldn’t ask an outsider for advice to try and please you.”

Blake did not know how to bring up the pregnancy matter. She replied truthfully, “I don’t mind if he keeps in touch with Olivia. I just don’t like an outsider getting involved in my affairs.

“Also, I don’t understand why Liam is doing this. I feel like Olivia is more important to him than me.”

Grace asked, “Are you jealous?”

Blake was not sure if she was jealous, but she certainly was bothered by this matter and felt uncomfortable.

Grace said, “How about this? I’ll have Liam come over tonight, and you two can have a good talk to clear things up. Who returns home the next day they have their wedding?

“If people find out about this, wouldn’t it be a joke?

“Have you been to Liam’s family’s place yet?”

Blake shook her head. “Liam has a strained relationship with his father. It’s very complicated. He hasn’t gone back, so I followed suit.”

Grace nodded. “It’s fine to live with Liam alone; you don’t have to worry about pleasing his family.

“But you’ve never been one to be taken advantage of since you were young. You never let yourself be mistreated.”

Grace still decided to call Liam. Blake could not do anything to stop her.

When Liam arrived, Blake noticed that he did not look right. She wondered if he was having his headaches again.

For the first time, she felt like she was the one causing trouble all the time.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
