The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 1324 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1324

The pregnancy test report came out fifteen minutes after Blake did the test. She was indeed pregnant. She was even seven weeks pregnant.

Blake had indeed been involved with Kevin while in Northern Myanmar over a month ago.

She held the medical report while standing bewildered in the cold hospital corridor. Lights shone through the floor-to-ceiling window onto her body, but all Blake felt was the cold, which made her hands and feet numb.

She was lost in her thoughts. ‘I’m really pregnant. What should I do with this baby? I want it to be born more than anyone else. But now, everything has changed. This child shouldn’t come into this world.’

She wandered in the corridor. Suddenly, she saw someone coming out of another gynecological room.

She thought, ‘Some things are just destined by fate. When I long to see him, even catching a glimpse of him in a dream feels like a luxury, an unattainable wish. But now, when I don’t want to see him, it seems he appears everywhere I go.’

Kevin supported Audrey as they came out of the gynecological room. Her eyes were red as she cried. Her slender body trembled while leaning against Kevin’s chest. Her crying appearance was heartbreaking to watch.

Blake looked indifferent as she watched Kevin hug Audrey. She could not hear what they were saying, but she did not continue to listen. She proceeded to sit on the chair nearby.

Meanwhile, Audrey saw Blake too. She looked at Kevin and asked, “Why’s Blake here? Kevin, should we go over and check on her?

“She seems to be in a bad mood.”

As soon as she finished her sentence, she saw Liam rushing over to Blake and crouching in front of her. But, due to the distance, Audrey could not hear what they were saying.

To Audrey and Kevin, Blake seemed very unhappy.

Finally, Kevin responded indifferently, “No. Let’s go back.”

Blake looked at Liam. “Did Olivia send you here? What else did she teach you?”

Liam tried to hold her hand, but she shook it off. She even refused to look at him. She just clenched the medical report.

Liam replied, “Blake, I’m sorry. I was wrong. I won’t contact Olivia again.”

Blake said, “That’s your business.

“I don’t regret marrying you. But I should thank you for still being willing to accept me and marry me. Don’t worry! This child isn’t yours; I won’t keep it.

“I’ve already scheduled an abortion to be done later. You can go back; I can handle this myself.”

“Blake, please don’t do this, okay? I don’t mind this child’s arrival.” Liam had never seen Blake looking this way. The more she acted this way, the more uneasy he felt. This made him feel very insecure.

“You don’t mind, but I do! Also, It’s unfair to you. What if someone finds out about this one day? What should I do? Should I just watch the child being called illegitimate and then be taken away?” Blake responded.

Liam said, “I’ll treat the baby like my own. Blake, this is your child, your flesh and blood. As long as it’s your child, I don’t mind.”

Blake’s eyes were filled with tears as she looked at him. She sneered. “Did she teach you to say these?

“Liam, have you ever considered that perhaps you’ve never truly liked me?

“I’m tired. Let’s talk another time. I think we need some time apart to think things through.”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
