The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1285

The servants, used to such scenes, quietly left to give space to the passionate Fred and Ava. Ava wrapped her legs around Fred’s waist on the sofa, reluctant to part. But she had completely lost her strength.

She said, “Fred, give it to me…

“I’m willing to have a child with you.”

Fred unbuttoned his uniform and threw it aside. There were scars on his muscular body. He had a robust physique, with prominent eight-pack abs. He then passionately made love to Ava.

Her loud moans were filled with pleasure.

As the sky gradually darkened, Mya woke up after having slept for two hours. The servants outside the door blushed upon hearing the moans coming from downstairs. They looked at each other but dared not speak.

Mya suddenly felt hungry and wanted to eat something. When she opened the door, the servants were startled. One said, “Ms. Harper, why are you coming out? You should go back inside.”

Mya rubbed her round belly. She was holding the two remaining pieces of mini berry tarts and said, “I’m hungry. I want to go downstairs to eat.”

The servants frowned. One of them said, “Mr. Turner is discussing important matters with someone downstairs. Ms. Harper, you should wait a little longer.”

Mya replied, “But I’m hungry now and want some water too.”

The servant thought, ‘Oh my, she’s so stubborn. People with brain damage are really different. Can’t she understand what’s happening just by listening to the sounds?

‘It seems like her condition hasn’t improved after taking the medicine for such a long time.’

The other servant responded, “Ms. Harper, Mr. Turner is busy. Can you wait for a while? When he’s finished, we can make whatever you want to eat.”

Mya said, “You guys are really annoying! I just want to go downstairs to get something to eat. I won’t bother them. Don’t worry, no matter what happens, I’ll pretend I didn’t see it. I promise.”

She looked at the servants so innocently that they simply could not reject her.

Just then, they heard footsteps approaching as if someone was walking up the stairs.

The servant said, “Ms. Harper, you should go back to your room now so you don’t get upset.”

Mya asked, “Get upset? Why’d I get upset?”

As soon as she said that, she saw Fred, naked, carrying Ava up the stairs.

The servants kept their heads down, afraid to look.

Mya stared at them before turning to the servants and said, “Fred has gone upstairs; can I go downstairs to eat now?”

The naked Ava seemed startled when another woman was staring at her. She then leaned close to Fred’s chest.

“Why did you let her out?!” Fred’s voice was cold and stern.

The servants immediately lowered their heads. One said, “I’m sorry, Mr. Turner. Ms. Harper woke up and wanted to eat. We couldn’t stop her.”

Mya nonchalantly shouted back, “Why are you scolding them? Mind your own business. It’s not like I haven’t seen you naked. What’s the big deal?

“I’m hungry, and I’m not allowed to eat. You should just focus on your own matters. It’s so annoying.”

Mya took a couple of bites of the mini berry tart as she happily walked past Fred. “These tarts are so delicious. I wonder how they’re made. I want to make them for Forrest. He’ll surely be very happy. He’ll owe me a meal again…

“Anyway, when’s he coming back?!”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
