The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 1286 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1286

The servants could not help but be impressed by Mya’s open-mindedness.

They thought she would cry and make a scene. After all, it was unacceptable for any woman to see their partner with another woman. However, not only did Mya not get angry, but she also seemed completely indifferent.

They wondered if it was her brain injury that made her so open-minded.

Mya stared at the mini berry tarts in her hand, which she had not eaten anywhere else. After she went downstairs, the two servants dared not continue to stay on this floor and followed her.

Ava tightened her legs around Fred’s waist. She rested her hands around his neck and said, “Fred, what’s wrong? Don’t let her ruin our mood. Let’s go back to the room, okay?”

Mya found a lot of food in the fridge.

They were frightened when they saw her take out the ice cream. One of them quickly took it away from her. “Ms. Harper, the doctor mentioned you can’t eat this during this period. How about eating something else? I can make it for you.”

Mya replied, “But I haven’t had it in a long time. I just want to take a few bites. 11

The servant looked at Mya’s belly and firmly refused, saying, “Please don’t make it difficult for us. Don’t you remember having a stomachache for a long time the last time you ate these cold foods?”

Upon hearing that, Mya reluctantly let go of the ice cream and said, “All right, I won’t eat it.”

The servant said, “If you’re hungry, I can cook you spaghetti.”

Mya nodded, “Okay.”

“M-Mr. Turner!” One servant saw Fred descending the stairs and immediately lowered her head.

In a bathrobe, Fred emitted a chilling, unwelcoming aura as he approached them. The two servants attending to Mya sensibly left to give them space.

She tried to stop them, saying, “Didn’t you say you would cook spaghetti for me? Why are you leaving? When are you coming back to cook for me?”

Mya was a little scared of Fred when she saw him walking toward her in an imposing manner. She thought, ‘ Whenever he shows this expression, I’ll be in big trouble. He’d bully me mercilessly.

Mya swallowed. “W-Why are you looking at me like that? I’ve been behaving very well lately. I didn’t try to run away.” She waved her hand, fear evident in her eyes. She did not smile either.

Fred asked, “Do you really not mind at all? Are you pretending, or is it genuine? Mya, I really want to know who you think about every day.”

He reached out and pinched her cheeks, making her lips pursed. Mya’s eyes were filled with displeasure. She frowned as she stared at the menacing Fred. “What are you doing? You’re hurting my face.”

She pushed him away when she felt him loosening his grip. “Who’s thinking about anyone? I’m not thinking about anyone. I just want to go home.”

She then walked into the living room and continued complaining, “It’s too boring here. I can’t go anywhere.”

Mya sat on the couch and felt a slight discomfort under her buttocks. She lifted her bottom and saw a man’s leather belt and a lace bra underneath. Then, she caught a whiff of something unpleasant, causing her to stand up from the couch in disgust. She asked, ” What’s all this? Were you trying to make a baby again? It’s so filthy.

“Here, take it back. Stop leaving your stuff lying around.” She then shoved the items into Fred’s hands before adding, “And you stink.”

Fred quietly looked at Mya and found her expression very innocent.

He was lost in his thoughts, ‘She has a brain injury, and she doesn’t even have the intelligence of a fifteen-year-old kid.

‘She doesn’t know what love is. She only cares about eating and doing whatever she pleases.’

As Mya walked past Fred, he suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a passionate kiss. Despite her struggles, she could not free herself from the kiss and had to swallow her words. Their lips locked in a French kiss; he savored the sweet pastry flavor lingering in her mouth.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
