The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1066

Blake was choking on a cherry. It took a while, but she finally coughed it up. The photography crew suddenly encountered someone rarely seen, and it left them silent with fear.

The person nearby cautiously reminded Blake, “Mr. Harrison planned to wear this outfit at Mr. Jardin’s wedding. It was custom-made by the X.M brand. Watch yourself.”

Blake immediately put on a sly smile, walked up, and grabbed Kevin’s hand. ” Come on, it’s just a piece of clothing! I can buy another one for you right now. Mr. Harrison, you’re not that stingy, are you? You were so generous before and gave me all the money you had on you.”

Kevin looked at Blake, who was a head shorter than him and yet demonstrated strong adaptability in challenging situations. He chose not to dwell on the matter. “Wait for me in the parking lot downstairs in an hour.”

Blake nodded. “No problem.”

Kevin had an intense and intimidating vibe, just like Zach. They were equally formidable. When Kevin turned to leave, he suddenly halted at the doorway. “It’s your working time now, but you aren’t in your workspace. According to the rules and regulations, we will deduct six hundred dollars from your pay and cancel your perfect attendance bonus.”

“You cheapskate!”

“Deduction of another two hundred dollars for using offensive language toward your supervisor.”

Blake had never encountered someone like Kevin in her entire life. Liam emerged in a white suit, leaving Blake momentarily stunned. Then, she quickly gave him a thumbs-up and praised him, “Liam, not only are you good at writing, but you’re also stylish. You look very handsome in it!”

“As long as you like it, that’s all that matters.” Liam’s gentle smile grew wider.

Blake did not take these words to heart, and just thought he was praising her fashion sense. Unsure how long Liam’s shoot would last, Blake glanced over to find it was still ongoing. It was almost eight o’clock, and she had not eaten anything yet. Lost in thought, Blake received a message from Kevin.

[Come to the underground parking lot.]

Seeing Liam still occupied, Blake headed to the lower level without saying a word. She searched for Kevin’s car in the vast parking lot. Just then, his vehicle came to a flawless stop right before her.

Kevin lowered the window and said, ” Get in.”

Blake hopped into the passenger seat, and Kevin leaned over to help her fasten her seatbelt. She asked, “What’s gotten into you today?”

Blake’s breathing slowed down as he approached. The fresh scent of laundry detergent still lingered on him. Suddenly, Kevin said, “Cecilia.”

In an instant, Blake caught on. After fastening her seatbelt, she grabbed Kevin’s tie before he got up. Leaning in, she planted a quick kiss on Kevin. His calm eyes turned to her, and Blake’s heart skipped a beat. She quickly looked away anxiously,

“If we’re going to play the part of a couple, we need to make it convincing. Otherwise, she’ll see through it in a second. Let’s go and grab a meal. I’m practically starving.”

“Let’s go somewhere first,” said Kevin.

“Where to?”

Cecilia gripped the hand beneath her skirt, panting. Her face slightly flushed after the climax, and waves of ecstasy swept over her as she watched the departing vehicle. She closed her eyes and slumped in the driver’s seat, savoring the sensation. “You’re really something.”

“You slut, can’t other men satisfy your needs?”

Cecilia asked, “Did that batch arrive yet?”

The man replied, “I’ve already arranged everything. Just focus on your tasks and get control of the company. I don’t care if they’re men or women, they’re all the same. Once you hold power in your hands, they’ll obediently follow you in the end!”

Cecilia said, “Don’t worry. When the time comes, you can take what’s yours.

As for me…I only want him.”

Blake was surprised that Kevin was taking her to the hospital. ‘Could it be that he’s taking me to get my facial injuries checked out?’

But just as the warmth filled her heart, it swiftly faded, turning cold in the next moment. Kevin stopped in front of a flower shop and said, “Go pick out a bouquet.”

Blake asked, “A bouquet? Are you planning to visit Ms. Parker in the hospital?”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
