The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1065

An odd expression flashed in Olivia’s eyes. Then, she passed some files to Liam and said, “Remember these lines. You’ll need them for later.”

Blake kept eating while watching them. Olivia helped smoothen Liam’s shirt and continued, “Don’t be nervous when you go onstage later. I will be watching from the side. You can ask me about anything anytime.”

“Mmm,” Liam replied as he flipped through the files.

Then, Olivia told him, “Change into your clothes first.”

As Liam went to the changing room, Olivia turned around and faced Blake. She asked her, “You work at the Photography Department too, Ms. Dion?”

Blake smiled and said, “Nope, I’m off work now. I came here on the way.”

Olivia did not speak and proceeded to walk to the changing room. After a while, Blake heard her say, “Liam told me about you. I didn’t think it would be such a coincidence that you would be on a blind date with him. He didn’t like to attend these events in the past, so I was responsible for refusing them. However, it is different this time. You are the daughter of Liam’s mother’s best friend.

“Regardless of what matter it is, I am always the first person he would consult. Liam has a good impression of you, so continue your hard work. If it works out, you could sit and reap the fruits of our labor,” Olivia said snidely.

Blake chuckled. She knew what Olivia meant behind those words based on her many years as an assistant. She would have given her a rebuttal if she was at the company. Instead, she rolled her eyes at Olivia.

“Ms. Blue, I think there’s something you should understand. You’re only Liam’s editor and not his butler. You have no right to interfere in our relationship, regardless of whatever happens. You’re over thirty years old; you should consider backing off any matter regarding us youngsters!”

Blake rolled her eyes again at Olivia before walking away with the cherries. Olivia was at a loss for words, “Y-you.”

‘Does she not know how old she is?

Thinking of all the women eyeing him all the time, I just couldn’t bring myself to let this go on. I need to tell him about this incident later just in case a random middle-aged woman ruins him,’ Blake thought.

At the same time, Liam walked out of the changing room and asked, “Does it look nice?”

The question was directed at Blake. She immediately nodded and said, ” Amazing! I think you look handsome in a white suit.” She paused and continued, “Wait a moment. I think I know which tuxedo would suit you the best.”

This was Liam’s first public appearance, so they could not afford to let him embarrass himself. Although the suit prepared by the company was branded, it was incomparable to a tailored one. Then, Blake stole a white suit from the Photography Department and told him, “Put this on.”

One of the Photography Department’s employees saw the suit in Blake’s hand, and his eyes widened.

“Are you crazy, Blake?! That suit was specially prepared for Mr. Harrison! How could you let him put it on!” The employee exclaimed.

Blake argued, “What’s the big deal anyways? Just let Liam wear it. It’s just a suit. If Mr. Harrison doesn’t like it, I’ll talk to him later.”

When the employee saw Liam’s innocent gaze, it made him feel like he was bullying Liam. He said to Liam, ” It’s okay, Mr. Gale. You can go change.”

“I’ll wait for you here,” Blake said before winking at Liam.

However, Kevin saw what happened from the door. He chided Blake, “Using my suit to please another man! You’ve grown quite bold, haven’t you, Blake?! “

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
