Oops! I Married A CEO By Mistake Chapter 54

54- Staying awake together

Not before marriage. But after marriage she would ask him for the favor. They would stay friends.

Nothing would change. She would tell him that she wanted to gain some experience and who could teach her bed tricks better than Hunter?

But more than that she wanted to feel him now. She wanted to touch him. She wanted to be touched by him.

She wanted to know how those large hands would feel on her…

Oh man! She would talk to him. God knows how she would accomplish that. But she would do that. What would be the use of regretting it later? Even if they would be separated by divorce, she would have good memories of him. Of his body. 1

“Hunter. I don’t how long would it take to sleep beside you in THAT sense. But I have made up my mind. Now I can’t wait to convince you.” She was so much immersed in her thinking that

she did not realize that he was calling her. “Abigail. What’s the matter? Are you even listening?” Her head snapped up in surprise.

“What?”

“I said, don’t worry. Everything would be alright. Or should I stay here with you.” He was waiting for her answer, she realized.

“No. I am fine. It’s just that …” She started rubbing the nape of her neck, “I am tired.” She said with a wobbly smile, “Besides, I can sleep with Molly. But there is no extra bedroom for you.” “I can manage on this couch, sugar.” He pushed the phone in his hip pocket, “Just tell me

once.”

She shook her head and pushed him gently, “I will call you. I promise.” Giving her a quick hug, he left, leaving her standing there. Making her mad as hell because he did not kiss her.

Molly did wake up once with a worst cough ever. Abigail gave her few sips of cinnamon tea and then made her sleep after giving her antibiotics. After such a long time she was sleeping without Hunter. It felt a little strange to lie without those strong arms and the teasing before the bed time. She did try to shut her eyes and finally got succeeded.

There was a massive improvement in her nightmares.

But tonight seemed to be an exception. She was up after around one hour and laid there awake. Her face was wet due to shedding tears in her sleep.

She could not decide if she should get up and make coffee for herself or try to go back to sleep. But now she was a little frightened.

Those nightmares had almost vanished.

For distracting her mind, she started thinking about Hunter and an unexpected warmness started spreading inside her.

As always. Was he awake? But why would he stay awake? Didn’t he have better things to do? His life did not revolve around Abigail Mason. He must be asleep by now. She checked her phone. Should she call him?

She turned her head to check on Molly, who was sleeping like dead. Getting up from the bed, she tied her hair in a bun and came out in the living room with her phone.

She did not have enough courage to go back to the bed. Damn! She should have asked him to stay here for the night. She was missing his arms around her.

Should she send him a message? Suddenly her phone beeped. There was a message on the screen and she could not help the tears rolling down on her cheeks.

[Sugar…]

Just one word was there. She texted him, (Hunter…)

(You are still awake.] She knew it was not a question.

[Yes. So are you.] She smiled wiping away her tears.

(Yeah. I was not feeling much sleepy.] Now Abigail wanted to message him to come to her. And spend the night here. With his arms around her.

But he deserved to have some breathing space. She was just a contractual… Well! Fu*ck it!

After few minutes her phone beeped again. [Nightmares?] [Yes] she replied with a sad emoji. [Should I come and pick you up? Or should I come and stay there?] She wanted to scream at the top of her lungs, “YES! YES! YES!”

But instead of that she just typed, [No. I will be fine, Hunter.)

He did not reply for few minutes and then she heard the ringtone and received the call immediately

“Sugar?”

“Hunter?”

“Go to sleep.” He said gently. “I can’t.”

“Don’t disconnect the call. I am right here. Now go to sleep.” She did not know what happened to her. But she was grinning ear to ear when she laid beside Molly with her phone clutched to her ear.

“Go to sleep. Pretend that I am right beside you. Ok?” She nodded her head forgetting that he could not see her.

She closed her eyes and stayed there for quite some time. Out of curiosity she opened her eyes which were now getting heavier with each passing minute. She checked her phone. Thirty minutes had passed.

Did he really mean it? Will he wait that long? Was he still on call? Out of curiosity she called his name in a whisper, “Hunter.” “Sugar.” Abigail could not help the smile spreading on her lips. Holding her phone, she closed her eyes. Before drifting off to sleep the last thought on her mind was… She wanted this man. She wanted Hunter!
