Oops! I Married A CEO By Mistake Chapter 53

53- Her decision

Geena chuckled, when he left the kitchen holding her hand heading to the backyard.

Once they reached there, Hunter took her in his arms and held her tightly but she got back shaking her head with a mocked smile, “No need for this pretense, Hunter. Nobody is here.” “Abigail…” he tried to talk to her but she held up her hand.

“This fake engagement is…” “Stop it, Abigail.” He said a little sternly. “Why stop, Hunter?…. Why should I? Isn’t it fake?” she said between her clenched teeth keeping her voice down. He stayed quiet just assessing her face. “Every decision you make, reaches to me by your receptionist.” She laughed sarcastically, “She knows your whereabouts better than me.”

“When I need to vacate my office? When you would fit me in your own place? When your grandparents are coming? When they would postpone the trip?” She did not want to cry and was trying her best to control. He was looking at her face quietly not saying a word. Then very gently holding her chin with his one hand he lifted her face and asked her, “Is that it?”

Pushing away his hand, she shook her head. “No just a suggestion for you, sweetheart.” She gave a sarcastic smile. “Better get married to Ava!” with that her head held high and her chin up she turned to leave but Hunter stopped her.

“I am sorry, Abigail.” He tried to take her in his arms but she shooed away his hands. “Gosh, Abi! Just listen to me, sugar. I can explain.” She turned around but instead of leaving him, just stood there, her back facing him, waiting for him to speak. “Last night I was mad at you. But this morning it was nothing, honey.” The endearment was doing it again.

“Ava was informed even before me. I was in a meeting when Pa called her straight away. He knew about the meeting that’s why he did not disturb me.”

“After that I was in contact with the doctors for my grandma’s treatment. Then left office for the conference.” His explanation made sense. Now she was mad at herself. Trying to decide what to speak next, Hunter made it easy for her.

“I drank the coffee which you brought me and found the sorry note.” He said tenderly turning her towards him.

She shot him a surprised look, “You did? But that must have gotten cold by the time it reached you! Stale.”

“So what.” He whispered. She kept watching him and was surprised by sudden warmth which was gradually spreading around her heart by just looking at him, “You brought me that coffee. I won’t let it go to the bin.” Abigail closed her eyes not wanting to make any eye contact with him.

“How is granma now?” She asked him.

“She is good. Am I allowed to hug you now?” he asked in an achingly gentle voice and when she nodded he not only took her in his arms but also whispered in her ear, “Your mom is looking at us.” With that he very gently held her face and started kissing her. He was kissing her as if there would be no tomorrow. She tied her arms around his neck, to meet his lips properly, she lifted herself on her toes.

When the kiss got over, they both were panting with a smile. Abigale turned but did not find Geena anywhere. She wanted to ask Hunter about it but he interrupted her thoughts by asking, “So what do you think? Should I still marry Ava?”

They were going back to the hotel when her phone started ringing.

Frowning to herself she received the call, “Hey, big guy! What’s up?” “Hey, Abi. I am out of town and in the middle of something. Can I ask you a favor?”

“Shoot it, Richard!”

“Molly is not feeling good lately. She is having viral fever. Can you manage this night to stay with her?”

She turned her face to Hunter who was driving quietly but was obviously listening to the one sided conversation.

“Sure, dude. Consider it done.” She placed her hand on Hunter’s arm, “Please. Drop me to Molly’s place first.”

“Is everything fine?” He asked with concern. He did like Molly. She was a genuine friend of Abigail.

“She is down with viral fever. I need to stay with her for the night.”

Without another word Hunter took the next turn and headed towards Molly’s apartment.

“You should go back. I won’t get kidnapped while reaching to her floor.” “I know. But Molly might need our help for taking her to a doctor. Let me get in, along with

you.”

Instead of knocking Abigail took out the key which was beneath the pot and unlocked the door. Flickering the switches open, she tip toed to the bedroom where Molly was sleeping peacefully.

“Richard told me that she has already popped the pills. I guess I will stay here without disturbing her.” Hunter nodded and then started searching for something on his phone, “I am looking for my doctor’s direct line. I am sending it to you in case of any emergency. And you will call me if you need anything.” He was talking to her while his eyes were on the screen.

His facial contours! Oh man! He was an enchanter! She simply wanted to touch his face with her fingers. And then Abigail Mason decided something then and there.

She had already lost her virginity to someone unknown. But next time she won’t make the same mistake. She was drunk and emotional. She was in her vulnerable state.

But not again. Her first time in her consciousness would be with Hunter.

Yes.

She had decided to sleep with him.
