Chapter 3345 The Royal Wife
Although Jake wished to hug Megan longer, he really got to go.
“You’re leaving?” Megan held his arm, looking disappointed. She was growing reliant on the man without even realizing it.
Jake nodded. He then bent over to kiss her cheek and ruffled her hair. “We’ll meet again after I’m done with my work, so don’t be sad.”
Megan knew they would get to meet again soon, so it was a wistful feeling rather than sadness that she was experiencing.
The two of them didn’t have much time to meet up. She was busy with her own career as well. If not, she would definitely follow Jake wherever he went.
“Okay. You should get going now. I’m going to talk to the producer about the show.”
Megan forced a smile as she watched Jake leave the private room. Since there was no way to stop him from leaving, she might as well accept it.
A few days later, the recording for Love In Progress finally came to an end. Soon, the show would reach the editing stage. Jonas, Megan, and the production crew boarded the earliest flight back.
As soon as they got off the plane, Megan received a call from Donna. She was rather surprised when she heard the latter telling her that she was waiting at the exit of the airport. I thought she said she’s not coming to fetch me. Why is she here now?
After rejecting Jonas’ offer to give her a ride, she then evaded her fans and the paparazzi, running all the way out to the exit and getting into a car’s passenger seat.
Sitting behind the wheels was Donna with a pair of sunglasses. She drove off as soon as Megan hopped in.
“I thought you have something else today?”
“Yeah, but it’s all done,” Donna answered casually while keeping her eyes on the road. She was humming songs as she drove, obviously in a good mood. “I have good news, Megan! You won’t believe what I’ve accomplished today.”
Seeing her secretive look, Megan was bewildered. She turned to face Donna and pouted. “Stop keeping me in suspense. Just spit it out.”
Coming to a stop at a red light, Donna cut to the chase after sensing Megan’s impatience. “Alright, alright. My gosh, must you be so impatient? It’s nothing, really. I’ve got you a job opportunity today. It’s a script for a new TV series. I thought it would take longer, but surprisingly, the negotiation ended pretty soon.”
“Script? What script is it that could make you look so happy?” Megan asked curiously while gazing at her manager, who was puffed up with pride.
Hmm… What script could it be?
If Megan was not mistaken, according to the timeline in her past life, the upcoming famous TV series should be The Royal Wife. She remembered that it became a frequent topic of discussion at that time.
Apart from the main cast, even the supporting cast had risen to fame.
She owed Donna a big one if the latter had really secured her a role in that TV series.
Meanwhile, Donna was obviously unhappy with Megan’s indifference and laid-back attitude. She removed her sunglasses and tossed it over onto the dashboard.
“Do you know that the producers are prepared to spend millions on this script? If I hadn’t gotten the news from an insider, I doubt I’d be able to even secure a place as an extra for you,” she boasted.
Megan raised her brow at Donna’s words, surprised by her confidence. Could it really be The Royal Wife? Did she really secure me a role in it?
“Oh, tell me already!” Megan was eager to know if her guess was correct.
From the corner of her eyes, Donna saw the anticipation on Megan’s face. She couldn’t help feeling conceited.
“The script is called The Royal Wife. I’ve got you the ticket to the audition as the female lead.”

For a moment, Megan was dazed. She could barely contain herself as she hugged Donna, who was driving.
