The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 965

The manager switched on the lights. Kevin glanced around the room and said, “Mr. Jardin, I don’t see Ms. Jent here.”

The manager was scared. He immediately asked the waiter who had just served this private room. The waiter said, “I don’t know where she went after she left the room.”

Zach exuded a chilling aura and said in a frosty tone, “Search every room, including all nearby hotel rooms. If there’s not enough manpower, get the police to lock down the city until we find her.

“Check all surveillance footage, and make sure not to miss any spot.”

The manager received a threatening look from Zach again, “If anything happens to her, all of you will pay the price.”

The people who Paradise Club served were all prominent figures in Marisburg. Zach’s action would undoubtedly anger some distinguished customers.

However, no one could do anything about it. Although Zach controlled the entire Ventropolis and did not have jurisdiction over Marisburg, he could easily hurt Marisburg’s development and operation with his power.

Even the influential families and local powers could not afford to provoke the ruler of Ventropolis. After searching through all the private rooms in the club, they still could not find Madelyn.

The discontented clients realized the disturbance was caused by the CEO of Jardin Corporation from Ventropolis. So, they could only tolerate it. Some even wanted to meet him. After all, not everyone could meet someone with a status like Zach.

However, no one dared to seek attention from him at this moment. In the hotel room, Madelyn’s hands were held down. Her clothes were torn, and her fair skin was exposed.

It was snowing heavily in Marisburg. The cold woke Madelyn up completely. When she came to her senses, she kicked the creepy man’s private part, causing him to scream in pain.

Her action angered the man. He grabbed her long hair and dragged her to the ground. This caused Madelyn to curl up in pain.

“Bitch, you left me no choice. If you don’t get punished, you won’t know how to behave.” The man said as he sat on top of Madelyn and slapped her twice.

Madelyn’s face swelled. His slaps were so strong that there was even blood coming out from the corner of her mouth. They made Madelyn feel dizzy, causing her not to have the strength to fight back.

The man kissed her neck. Madelyn lifted her hand and felt a pen on the bedside table. In desperation, she forcefully stabbed the man’s neck with the pen. He immediately screamed in pain and fell to the ground as he covered his neck, which was bleeding.

The blood splattered into Madelyn’s eyes and everywhere else. When Madelyn saw her surroundings turn red, she realized she had hurt someone. She felt afraid and helpless as she dropped the pen. She trembled as she stood up before quickly staggering outside.

Not long after Madelyn left, a group of bodyguards in black found this room that was left open. When they saw the blood on the ground, they quickly thought about something and hastily reported it.

After Kevin received the call, he immediately recounted the incident to Zach, “Ms. Jent hurt someone and probably left the hotel.”

Zach twirled the ring on his ring finger and asked, “Did the hotel surveillance capture where she went?”

Kevin received a message right after he asked that. He then said, “Ms. Jent left the hotel fifteen minutes ago. She shouldn’t have gone too far.”

Zach swiftly stood up to leave without any hesitation. He said, “Inform the police and ask them to detain everyone involved in her abduction on charges of kidnapping. Let Jardin Corporation’s legal team handle everything.”

Kevin responded, “Okay.”

Zach said, “Send me the surveillance footage from the last moments before she left the hotel.”

The manager never expected that hiring an escort would lead to such a huge problem.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
