The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 961 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 961

Madelyn looked very calm. She was not humble or arrogant. She also did not appear afraid at all.

“I paint. It’s not a big deal. If there’s nothing else, I’ll walk away now.” Madelyn nodded and walked past Eva.

“You…” A woman wanted to step forward and teach Madelyn a lesson as she thought she was behaving badly. Eva stopped the woman and looked at Madelyn as she left. Madelyn was squatting on the ground, comforting a crying young lady.

After chatting with her for a while, Madelyn learned that the young lady had been sold by her parents to Paradise Club in Marisburg.

All the women there wore billing devices for customers to swipe their cards. Customers could swipe their cards and pay by the minute if they wanted them. The women could not resist no matter what the customers did, or they would face harsh beatings.

The scars on this young lady’s body were the best evidence. It would be Madelyn’s turn soon. After mulling over the situation, Madelyn asked, “Haven’t you tried to escape?”

“It’s useless. No one can save us. The police in all of Marisburg are in on this. If we escape, they’ll catch us and send us back here again. I don’t want to be sold! Can you help me, please?”

Madelyn could only comfort her with words, “Don’t worry. Everything will be fine soon.”

She knew that Zach would use his power and connections to find her. It was only a matter of time. The young lady was only eighteen or nineteen years old. She should be in school but was sold by her parents just to support her younger brother.

In a private room at Paradise Club, a man handed a tablet to the man sitting in the main seat, “Mr. Turner, these are the latest best girls. Take a look and see if there’s anyone you like. If there is, I can bring her over to you right now.”

Eva was the most beautiful top entertainer at Paradise Club. As expected, she sat beside Fred and poured him a glass of alcohol. She had worked in this field for many years. She had met various types of men, from fat men with greasy appearance to elegant business elites. However, compared to those, she preferred men with unique characteristics, like Fred.

She felt a different kind of feeling whenever she was with him. She felt he was very dangerous, but at the same time, he gave her an indescribable sense of security. Eva said, “Mr. Turner, you’ve been staring at other women. I’m starting to get jealous.”

Fred noticed a woman in a transparent tulle dress on the first page of the tablet. He did not expect to see her here.

The manager knew what Fred was thinking, “Mr. Turner, you have good taste. Her name is Rose. However, she’s a newcomer and could be a little inexperienced. I hope you don’t mind that.”

Fred said her name interestingly, ” Rose, you say? I want her.”

The manager responded, “Sure.”

A group of people entered and removed the things from Madelyn’s hands and legs. However, they did not remove the locator on her neck. This was to prevent her from escaping.

Madelyn was then blindfolded again before being brought away, “Where are you all taking me?”

After walking for a while, she heard some loud music. Then, they stopped at a place before the blindfold was removed.

“Serve the person inside well. After tonight, you’ll receive a hundred thousand dollars.”

After that, Madelyn was pushed inside. She felt a chill when she saw Fred, who looked dangerous and wicked, sitting with his legs crossed on the sofa. She instantly had goosebumps on her arms.

She said, “I-It’s you!”

Fred smirked, “It’s been a long time!”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
