The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 894 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 894

“Yeah, sure!” Mya said happily. The servants who were taken away were now replaced. The new ones were even prettier and sexier than the previous ones. All dressed in maid uniforms, they strolled around with their hips swaying. They also prepared a tasty lunch for Fred and Mya.

Mya slipped on the shoes the servants brought without realizing the potentially risky situation she was entering. She strolled over to the dining table without much thought and happily dug into her lunch.

These servants were top-notch, handpicked from Sin City. Their monthly pay was almost as much as a family earned in a whole year. Beyond their household duties, these servants also had to meet their master’s more personal needs. It was a part of their job to keep their master company through the night, as every man tended to feel lonely then.

Not every servant got the chance to work here. They had to go through a tough selection process, considering things like looks, physique, and even cooking skills..

One servant sat on Fred’s lap, holding silver cutlery and feeding him, while another poured wine for him. Mya, focused on her meal, paid little attention to Fred’s unrestrained behavior. The servant beside her kept piling up her plate, and everyone struggled to suppress their laughter.

Mya didn’t mind as long as her stomach was full. After polishing off her meal, she even had another bowl of soup.

After giving a loud burp. Mya rubbed her plump stomach and said, satisfied, “Fred, I’m full. Thank you for your hospitality. I’ll be going upstairs to sleep.”

Before leaving, Mya took a slice of blueberry cake and ran up the stairs like a kid. There was an elevator for going up and down the floors, but Mya did not notice it.

When she left, the sexy blonde on Fred’s lap pressed her breast on Fred’s chest and asked, “Mr. Turner, who is that? She doesn’t look that bright.”

Fred stared at the woman in his arms and raised her chin. He spoke with a loose tone, “She’s just a pet. She doesn’t need to be too bright.”

The blonde smiled and fed him a few gulps of wine.

Mya, on the other hand, was lying on the bed. Mya rolled around the soft bed while the servants would come and give her fruits. At home, her mother would control her appetite and only give her snacks once a day. Hence, her current situation was better than before. She could eat what she wanted with no one to control her.

Mya laid down on the bed and took out the antique pocket watch from her pocket. The watch showed that it was twelve in the afternoon, and a picture was on the other side. Mya caressed the picture while mumbling, “Madelyn’s already back, so you should come back soon, too.”

She did not realize that what she said was heard by Fred. Mya, who just finished her meal, was already sleepy. After tucking inside the blanket, she fell asleep in a few minutes.

Fred walked into the door and sat by the bed. He stared at Mya’s refined features while her hand was placed on her chest. Fred hooked his finger on the gold chain on her chest and pulled the pocket watch out.

He opened it and saw the person in the picture. His gaze darkened. He smiled and thought, “She still has a sweetheart?”

Unaware of how intimidating he looked, Fred continued, ‘Looks like I’ll have to take care of this person.’

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
