The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 811 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 811

Madelyn passed out for a long time, but she could hear someone talking next to her. She knew it was Zach. Even with her eyes closed, she could hear him speaking. Zach repeatedly wiped her body with warm water, groomed her hair, and changed her into clean clothes.

Kai entered the room and saw Zach, who had gone mad, and said hesitantly, “I’ve already told you the surgical risk. The surgery can be done one week after she wakes up, so you’d better be prepared for it.”

“She’s always been fine. I’m not worried at all.”

Zach had not slept for three days after finding Madelyn. He wore the same outfit as before, with messy hair and bloodshot eyes. He had always been a clean freak, but after three days without a shower, a strange odor clung to his body.

Even so, he still took meticulous care of Madelyn.

“I know you can’t accept it, but that’s the truth. She’ll die without the surgery.

” Kai said.

“Why didn’t you tell me about this earlier then?”

“She wanted me to hide it from you. Besides, what could you possibly have done about it? No one could force her to receive treatment anyway. I told you not to hurt Ethan because he still has a special place in Madelyn’s heart. She was only willing to take medications because she hoped that Ethan would wake up someday so she could talk to him. But the only person who could persuade her is dead now.

“She’s the only person left in the entire Jent family, and you’ve destroyed her only reason to live. How can she accept it?”

‘Ethan Arnold, Ethan Arnold! it’s still him in the end!’ Zach thought to himself. Then, he stood up, rushed forward, and grabbed Kai’s collar before taking him outside, “I want him dead, so what? If she dies, I’m going to burn the whole hospital down.”

There were still bruises on Kai’s face as they had fought not long ago. Kai looked at him emotionlessly, “What about you? What’s the point of you living if she’s dead? Don’t forget, you’re the one who drugged her, and everything was your idea. Are you regretting it now?

“It has been six years, and you had countless chances to make things right. Have you done anything for it?

“Zach Jardin, if she dies, you’re the person who caused it! You don’t deserve to continue living either if she’s dead. You didn’t hesitate to hurt her back then. Who are you putting a show on for now?

“Ethan was willing to risk his life to love her. What about you? Do you love her? The truth is you only want her because of how possessive you are; you don’t even love her. With just that, you can never compare to Ethan.

“Zach, we’re the same. We’ll never understand what it’s like to love someone.” Two nurses happened to pass by and glanced at the staircase from downstairs, “Why are they fighting again?”

“Who knows? I wouldn’t want to go up there now.”

The nurses who went upstairs to work all came running down, crying, with no exception. Zach had really gone crazy.

Love? What is love?

If love meant that he could not bear to leave Madelyn or was reluctant to let her go, then Zach had already fallen in love with her in the four years that Madelyn secretly ran away.

It was undeniable that he was possessive, but Zach just could not bear to see her leave.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
