The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 580

Zach took a big step forward. He forcefully lifted her and walked directly toward the third floor. Madelyn shouted, “What are you doing? Put me down. Don’t touch me!”

Zach ignored her yells and kicked open the door. He then found the light switch on the wall and switched it on. After that, he just tossed her onto the bed. This bed was even softer and more elastic than the previous one, so she bounced a little when she landed, leaving her a little dizzy.

Her phone dropped onto the ground, and the battery fell out. Ever since she had gotten this new phone, it would not break no matter how many times it dropped. It had even survived after being submerged in water.

Zach picked up the phone from the floor and reinserted the battery, “You aren’t married yet. Don’t forget that you still belong to the Jent family. If you keep running away to other people’s houses or keep being disobedient, I’ll restrict all your freedoms, including your trip back to Paris.”

“You bastard. If you dare to do so, I’ll call the police.” Madelyn easily took the phone from his hand. Zach found the threat of calling the police coming from her somewhat absurd.

He pursed his lips smiling as he nodded, “Sure. As long as you’re obedient, I won’t do that.” He then wrapped his strong arm around her and used his other hand to lift her chin. He then kissed her on the lips, “Sleep early.

“Get lost!” Madelyn responded. She vigorously wiped the area where he had kissed her. After he left, she slammed the door shut loudly.

She could not get rid of her anger. She was afraid that he might do something inappropriate to her in the middle of the night, so she moved the dressing table to block the door.

Zach went downstairs. When Jasmine saw the smile on his face, she was hurt. She asked, “Are you this happy just because she’s back?”

She had never seen him like this before. She continued, “You brought her back, but aren’t you worried I might do something to her?”

The way Zach looked at Madelyn and Jasmine was indeed different. Jasmine thought, ‘He always treats me as an outsider. He finds me unclean and doesn’t allow me to get too close, but he’s willing to change his plans for an enemy’s woman. He even wants Madelyn to come back to him at any cost.’

The special treatment Zach had for Madelyn made Jasmine so jealous that she felt like she was going crazy.

“Do you really think your presence can threaten her?” Zach raised his hand and patted her face, “Stop thinking so highly of yourself. I’ve said before that I’m not interested in someone like who’s been played around with.” you,

It was normal for a pregnant lady to have emotional instability, and her inner voice made her speak harshly again, “Sure, I’ve been played around with, and you don’t like it, but what if one day Madelyn ends up just like me? When that happens, I’d love to see if you’ll still protect her like you do now.”

Zach’s gaze suddenly turned fierce and terrifying. He grabbed her neck and leaned in close to her ear, “If so, I can’t keep you here any longer.”

It would indeed be an easy task for Jasmine to hurt Madelyn if she wanted. Over the past year, she had been considered Hayson’s confidant. If Madelyn did not share the Jent last name or if she was not Hayson’s daughter, Jasmine would have already acted on her obsession with Zach and hurt her.

The death of Julia at the ski resort at The Enchanted Mountain was the best example. Zach and Jasmine were the same type of people.

While there were people loyal to Zach around Hayson, Zach might have had other spies around other people too. As for Jasmine’s actions, Zach often turned a blind eye, but that did not mean he would tolerate her every time..

Zach grabbed the back of Jasmine’s collar and dragged her to the kitchen. The sink was filled with water and some residual dish soap.

He growled, “While I still have some patience left in me now, why don’t you think about how you’d like to die? Do you want to end up like her, dumped in the wilderness and torn apart by wild beasts?

“Isn’t this the kind of method you usually prefer? Huh?”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
