The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 574

Yvonne sensed the hostility in his eyes. At this moment, she truly believed Zach would kill her, but she did not resist in any way.

Zach said, “Think it through. I’m not a gentleman, and I don’t like anyone meddling in my affairs. Next time… I won’t guarantee you’ll live to see the next sunrise.”

When he noticed that she was about to pass out, he loosened his grip. Yvonne covered her chest as she gasped for air. She bent over and coughed continuously.

Tears welled up in the corners of her eyes as she watched the car drive away. She then collapsed weakly to the ground. She clenched her teeth. Despite all the suffering, she stubbornly stood up unsteadily. She then got into her car and quickly followed him.

But this time, Yvonne lost track of him. She stared at the bustling airport. She searched the airport, but she could not find Zach.

She thought, ‘Back when Madelyn persistently pursued him, he didn’t fall for her. Now that she’s the future Mrs. Arnold, Zach’s actually starting to pester her.’

Yvonne seemed to be sure that Zach’s target was Madelyn. She quickly booked a flight to Paris. Little did she know that all of this was part of Zach’s plan. Zach, who had already backtracked, received a call from Kevin fifteen minutes later.

Kevin said, “Yvonne bought a ticket to Paris. Including the layover, she’ll need twelve hours to arrive in Paris.”

Zach responded, “Got it.”

Ever since Zach had stepped down from his position as the CEO of Azure Corporation, Yvonne had seized every opportunity to appear in front of him. She practically tracked him all day long.

Hayson had requested that Zach go back to stay at the Jent residence for good. By the time he got back to the Southern Haven Villas, it was already eleven-thirty at night.

Jasmine seemed to have been waiting for quite a long time. Zach tossed the car key to the entrance area.

Jasmine was eating the cherries in her hand. There were fresh cherries that Hayson had specially flown in from overseas. At the same time, she was watching a boring prenatal education show.

“This child will be born in just a few more months. Even if I’m just a tool for your revenge, hasn’t it been long enough already? Tomorrow, Hayson’s planning a press conference to announce your identity as the eldest son of the Jent family. I think… by then, you wouldn’t want her to know the relationship between you two.”

Zach asked, “So impatient?”

“I’ve sworn to make sure every single one of the Jent family suffers!” When Jasmine turned around, she was supporting her heavy, pregnant belly. When she looked at Zach, the hatred in her disappeared as she said with a smile, “Of course, except for you.

“Madelyn… I think I won’t need to deal with her.” She walked forward and stretched her hand to button up Zach’s black shirt. She looked at him seductively as she said, “We’ve been in cahoots for so many years, and one knows you better than I do. You want to inherit his wealth, so why don’t you take me with you too? Let me be your woman. That’d be the ultimate

punishment for him. Even if we don’t take action, a slight provocation will make him so mad he’ll cough up blood and die. It’d save us the trouble of taking action and no one would trace it back to us.”

Zach squinted. He looked terrifying as his hand wrapped around her neck. Jasmine was in so much pain that she lifted her head and met his gaze. He responded, “Not a bad idea. When something happens to Hayson, she’ll come back on her own. It’ll save me the trouble of looking for her.”

He continued icily, “But… How can you be sure that I won’t come after you once Hayson’s dead? “Dead people keep the best secrets, after all.”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
