The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning By Max Charming chapter 435

“Stop interfering in my life from now on. I have no need for your fake concern,” Madelyn said.
Zach’s gaze landed on the can that held the water for Madelyn to wash her brushes. Her
cellphone was totally submerged within it, with its motherboard removed.

Zach pulled open the curtains to let the sunlight shine in. Madelyn, who had not seen the sun
in days, squinted as she put her hand up to block the glaring sunlight.

“What are you doing? Close the curtains!” Madelyn yelled as her temper suddenly rose.
“I’m giving you an hour. Clean yourself up and follow me home,” Zach ordered.

“Are you crazy, Zach? Why would I follow you home? Do you really think that place is my
home? That house is Jadie’s and your home, not mine,” Madelyn retorted.

“Rosario is probably one of your lackeys, too! Only she could have put those drugs in my milk
for all those years,” Madelyn yelled. Whenever Madelyn saw Zach, she was reminded of certain harsh truths, some of which she still could not bear to think about. Madelyn threw the brush away.

Her head ached as she grabbed at her hair. She got up and took a few pills to control her emotions. She looked at him in anger and yelled, “Never come here again!

“I hate you, Zach Jardin! I hate you!”
‘I hate that you destroyed everything of mine. I hate how much you’ve tormented me,’ Madelyn wanted to scream at Zach, but kept it in.

Instead of putting on her shoes, she stomped back to her room, slamming the door with a loud bang.
Zach stared at the shut door. He had no idea what she was thinking When Madelyn got back to her room, she curled up in bed. She felt like she was stuck in an abyss and could not escape.

After she was exhausted from crying, Madelyn wanted to sleep. ‘Sleep is always good. Maybe I can dream of Mom’ However, Madelyn had not dreamed of her mother ever since she had lost her wallet with the
picture of her mother in it. Madelyn swallowed another five pills from the bottle on her bedside drawer.

This was the only way she could make herself feel better.
This time, she seemed to dream of her mother, who wore a beige knitted skirt and had her
hair tied up. Although she could not see her face clearly, she could feel the warmth of her
mother’s embrace.

Madelyn wished to never wake up so she could. stay with her mother forever.
Zach heard the sound of a pill bottle hitting the floor. He knocked on the door and heard no
commotion from inside. He instantly kicked the door down.

He then saw sleeping pills sprawled on the floor in the dimly lit room and the bulging blanket
on the bed. Without hesitation, he quickly pulled off the blanket before lifting Madelyn from the
bed. He brought her to the bathroom and sprayed her with cold water.

Madelyn shivered from the cold. She opened her eyes in a daze and could only make out blurry silhouettes. Zach kneeled down and had one hand put her facing downwards. He used his fingers to pry
her mouth open and make her vomit, “Spit out everything that you ate.”

Madelyn struggled feebly. In the end, she vomited all the tablets she ate along with some
stomach bile. After handling all this, Zach threw her into a wooden tub and used warm water
to help her take a shower. He had already seen all of her body anyway. After wiping her dry,
he carried her out of the bathroom.

“It’s cold…” Madelyn groaned. Zach searched through her wardrobe and threw a blanket over
her. Zach had some vomit on
him and it smelled disgusting. He was a clean freak, so he quickly took off his clothes and
showered.

When night came, it was so warm that Madelyn felt like she was in a furnace. She flipped over
out of discomfort until she felt her body being scooped back into bed. A hand touched her
waist, and Madelyn noticed a man lying beside her.

Both of them were naked. Madelyn was shocked and instinctively kicked him off the bed. He hit the ground with a loud bang.Madelyn stood up and used the blanket to cover her body.

She fumbled around the bedside drawer, found the night light, and turned it on. Zach, who had been kicked to the floor without warning, felt an aching pain in his tailbone.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
