The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning By Max Charming chapter 433

Outside the hospital room, a tree grew tall and strong. A few birds sat on the branches with
their heads under their wings due to the cold. The aura Ethan was emanating was just as cold
as the weather outside.

“I will not agree to breaking up!” His tone was cold and assertive.
Madelyn crossed her arms and retracted her gaze before stepping back, ” That’s not what I
meant. I just want to give us some time to sort things out. Having some time away from each
other should let us know whether we’re suitable for each other or not!”

“There can never be a third person in a romantic relationship. When you knew Donna was in
danger, you chose to save her. I know you still can’t let her go due to what happened in the
past. I’m not a heartless person, but you and I wanted to only have each other in our hearts,”
Madelyn continued.

She smiled and said, “Ask her properly. If it turns out to be a misunderstanding all along, it
might give you some closure. Regardless, we’d be the same as we were.”
Ethan’s gaze landed on Madelyn, who stared back at him, causing the atmosphere to be
eerily tense. In actual fact, she had said this to benefit both of them.

It would be better for both of them if they resolved any past issues before falling any deeper
in love. Otherwise, Donna would be stuck between them and they would never be together peacefully.

It would also place her in an awkward position. If Ethan kept liking her yet could not let go of
Donna, it would be no different from cheating on her.
Leyton broke the silence and said, “Ms Jent, it’s not what you think. Since the incident was in
the past, Mr. Arnold would never return to her side You should trust in Mr. Arnold.”

“Is it really like that?” Madelyn’s words and clear gaze made him waver.
“I know about him going abroad and leaving in the middle of the night to look for her. If that
doesn’t prove that he still can’t let go, then I don’t know what to say I’ve already told my father
to handle my discharge procedures.

He should be arriving soon,” Madelyn said hesitantly Ethan stood up and asked, “So this is what you want?” Madelyn looked at him seriously, “Yes”

“Fine, as you wish,” Ethan said as he turned around and left. The suffocating atmosphere left with him, and the room was finally quiet. As a matter of fact, no one was coming to get Madelyn. She had just said so on a whim.

During the afternoon, Madelyn went through the discharge procedures herself, as the fees
had already been paid in full. She was also carrying a bag of antidepressants and did not tell
anyone about her discharge.

Before she left, Kai gave her his name card and said, “If you have any psychological or mental
health issues, feel free to contact me. You’re always welcome to see me!”

As she reached the bus stop, Madelyn threw the name card away. She knew her situation
clearly. She would walk this road by herself.
Outside the hospital, Kai stared at the slender figure getting on the bus.

He was on a call, “Your lover has discharged herself. However, she seemed to have had a fight with Ethan and left on her own. Don’t you want to take advantage of this opportunity?”
Before he could get an answer, the call was hung up

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
