The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning By Max Charming chapter 432

Hayson was shocked and asked, “How does he know?”
“Madelyn told him. Even then, he didn’t seem to care,” Zach replied.

Hayson did not expect this. A woman unable to reproduce was a useless tool to him. However,
Ethan still loved her and had her stay at the Arnold family’s residence. From the looks of it,
she was not as useless as he had thought.

“What about Donna? Where’s she now?” Hayson asked. “At the hospital. She’s being temporarily protected by Ethan’s people,” Zach answered. Hayson’s gaze grew dark as he ordered, “Make sure to handle the Donna issue properly and don’t let anyone find out. It’d benefit both of us if Madelyn were to marry into the Arnold family. Go!”

“Yes, Father,” Zach obliged. As Zach turned around to leave the study, Jasmine stood outside holding a bowl of chickensoup. She quickly and discreetly poured and dissolved a bag of white powder in the soup and asked, “Honey, are you done talking?”

Zach passed her with one hand in his pocket. Jasmine sashayed in wearing a red dress and a
smile on her face, with her hips swaying side to side.
Madelyn was hospitalized for more than a week. Besides Mya, Ethan had organized for many
people to visit her.

This was actually on Madelyn’s request because she did not like having too
many people around. Recently, Ethan had been using her sick ward as his study. He spent
most of his time keeping her company and rarely left her sight, even reporting to her before
going to the washroom.

She thought, “He doesn’t need to do all this…”
Madelyn already could get out of bed by herself. Although she could be discharged from the
hospital, Ethan was still worried for her. Madelyn called out to him, “Take a break and eat
some fruit.”

“Mhm,” Ethan replied as he closed his files. He held onto her waist and sat on the sofa,
asking, “Why? Are you bored?” Madelyn said, “You’ve been here for so many days, you
should check on her. You’ve known each other for so many years.” Ethan retracted his hand
from her waist and said, “You should watch some TV first.

I still have some matters I need to attend to.” His attitude instantly switched, and Madelyn could not tell why he was angry. Madelyn went and sat by the window to read her book. At the same time, Leyton walked in and said, “Mr. Arnold, I have something to report.

”Leyton hesitated and glanced at Madelyn. The sunlight hit her body and made her look inexplicably beautiful. “However…” Leyton stuttered. Madelyn got up and said, “I’ll take a walk downstairs. You can chat.”

“There’s no need, “Ethan replied. Leyton wavered before finally saying, “It’s about Ms. Jolie. She’s making a fuss about meeting you and is also refusing to accept treatment. It’s getting so bad that the bodyguards don’t know what to do.”

They both glanced at Madelyn to see her still reading the book on her phone calmly. As if what
they said had no connection to her. Ethan urgently wanted to see a reaction from her but got
nothing from it. He asked, “Madelyn… what do you think! should do?”

Madelyn flipped over another page. Her fingers paused momentarily as she looked at him,
“You should ask yourself, Ethan. I know you can’t forget her since she’s been with you for so
long. Even if you wanted to forget about her, you can’t do it easily!”

“You should check on her. She might even have a reason for leaving back then. Stop being so
stubborn and talk to her properly, Madelyn said.

Ethan saw her uncaring attitude and clenched his fist tightly. His gaze was cold as he asked,
“You think so?”
Madelyn stood up and replied, “You might not like what I’m about to say.”

Ethan was confused by this. “Hm?”
Madelyn said gradually, “Let’s split up.”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
