The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1327

Cecilia said, “It’s fine. Let’s give them a week. Rearrange the flight and all the plans for the trip. This is Blake’s first time getting married and going abroad for honeymoon. I want to make sure she has a good time.”

Susan nodded. “Okay, Ms. Samford.”

Not long after Cecilia left, three editors who used to work for Olivia’s company entered her office. All of them spoke in panic, “Ms. Blue, what should we do? Ms. Samford already knows everything. If the legal department finds out about it, will we go to jail?”

Olivia remained calm as she said, ” Don’t panic. Just focus on your work.”

“But we got into this company through you. What if they say we got into this company through the back door and then fired us?”

Olivia sat at her desk, supporting her forehead with her hands. She was obviously panicking. “Don’t worry, I’ll handle this.

“You guys can leave now.”

Olivia did not expect this matter to be exposed so soon. She wondered how Cecilia found out about it. ‘Could it be that she’s been monitoring me all along?’

In the end, she could not find any solution, so she sent a message to someone. However, that person did not respond. Olivia tried to call him but found out that he had blocked her phone number.

Unwilling to give up, Olivia tried using the office landline. After the call connected, she heard, “Hi, who is this?”

Olivia replied, “Blake? Where’s Liam? Let him take the call.”

Blake said, “Liam, the call is for you.

“Just a moment, he’s in the restroom.”

Liam encountered heavy rain on his way to the Harper residence. He even almost got into a car accident on the road. When Blake received his call, she was worried. She ended up driving to pick him up and take him to the Harper residence.

The rain seemed like it would never stop.

Liam walked out of the bathroom, dried his hair, and saw Blake leaving with a somewhat unhappy expression. He frowned slightly and answered the call. “What’s the matter?”

Olivia got straight to the point without any preamble. “I need your help.”

Liam replied, “Olivia, our dealings are over. Please don’t call me again. Blake will be unhappy.”

She responded, “You must help me with this!”

Liam immediately ended the call. He did not have his clothes in the Harper residence. So, he wore Simon’s new pajamas.

He then went downstairs to find Blake and saw her helping Grace with the vegetables.

When Grace saw Liam stare intensely at Blake, she smiled helplessly. “You newlyweds, don’t be upset. Look at Liam, go over and accompany him. I have the maids help me.”

The heavy rain still had not stopped.

When Blake thought about the flowers she used to grow outside, she walked out. Liam followed behind her and grabbed her as she stepped into the rain.

After that, he ran through the heavy rain. Blake anxiously said, “You just took a shower.”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
