The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1192

“How long is that? Your reply clearly shows that you don’t want to be responsible for me,” Blake pressed, her frustration over Kevin’s vagueness evident.

Kevin looked at Blake with an unreadable gaze, as if observing a complaining woman. “What do you want, then?”

“I just want a timeframe from you,” Blake insisted. “Even if it’s three years, or five, I’ll wait for your return. It’s not the length of the wait that scares me, but the uncertainty of not knowing when, or if, you’ll come back.”

“Let’s not discuss these pointless matters. Finish your soup,” Kevin said, picking up the laundry basket and heading to the master bedroom’s bathroom to load the washing machine.

Undeterred, Blake followed him into the bathroom. She waited until he finished with the clothes, then pushed him against the wall, standing on her tiptoes to confront the taller Kevin.

“Don’t think running away will solve anything. You can leave me, but you have two choices. Either we get married now or have a child with me.”

“Stop being ridiculous.” Kevin pushed her away gently, but Blake blocked the doorway, refusing to let him leave.

“I’m serious. I feel like this is the only way you’ll care about me, to have something that ties you down. Wherever you are, you’ll think of me, of our child. Kevin, I became yours last night. Once I’ve made up my mind, it’s for a lifetime. You can’t rid yourself of me that easily.”

Kevin knew Blake was stubborn and troublesome, but he had not expected her to be this unyielding. Kevin gazed down at Blake, who was holding his collar, and asked, “Marry me? Do you even know me?”

“Tell me, then! How can I understand you if you don’t tell me? You’ve investigated everything about me. My absentee parents, my aunt and uncle, my cousin Mya… You know everything about me!” Blake exclaimed.

“I have nothing but this place,” Kevin replied.

Blake replied, “Even without a place to live, even if it’s just you, I wouldn’t mind.”

Reaching under his shirt, she felt his firm abs and said, “Since you won’t marry me, at least leave me with a child. Especially since I didn’t get a chance to fully appreciate your body last night.”

“Blake! Where did you learn to act like this?!” Kevin said, surprised by her behavior.

“This is who I am. Last night, who was the one acting like a wild animal, taking me over and over, leaving marks all over me? Since it’s still early, you’re going to do it again with me,” said Blake.

Then, Blake began to undo Kevin’s pants. The moment she knelt down, any semblance of self-control Kevin had was shattered.

In the warm bathroom, Blake leaned against the frosted glass door, moaning contentedly as she felt his movements. She said, “I knew you wanted it more than me.”

Fifteen minutes later, Blake felt her legs jellied from their activities. As they were about to finish, she kissed him from behind and said, “Just like that, don’t stop.”

Shortly after that, Kevin released inside her. When they finished their second round, Blake hugged him gently, avoiding his wounds. Their breaths intertwined as they rested. After a while, she kissed him again and said, ” This time, you lie down. I’ll be on top.”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
