Exhausted, Josie opened his eyes. “I will never surrender to you in this lifetime.”
“You’re as stubborn as a mule.”
Heather casually took out her phone from her pocket. Flipping through the photo album, she showed Josie one picture after another. “The venue for tomorrow’s wedding has already been set up. Can you take a look for me? Is it beautiful?”
In the photograph, as far as the eye could see, there were white roses everywhere. A red carpet was laid out, exuding an aura of extravagant grandeur.
Josie turned his head away.
However, Heather insisted that he look. “Today, Dex came to accompany me through the process. Look, his hand is resting on my waist. Isn’t it nice?”
