Ye Moxuan snapped back to his senses and he squinted menacingly at the woman in front of him. She merely has crystal-clear eyes, and her actions are stranger than usual. Why should I waste time with such a woman here?
“Give me your hand.”
Han Muzi asked in confusion, “Why?”
Ye Moxuan answered impatiently, “Just give me your hand. Why are you asking so many unnecessary questions?”
Han Muzi had no choice but to put her hand out.
Clink! He dumped the keys onto her palm. Han Muzi was stunned to silence as she stared at the bunch of keys in her hand. She recognized that they belonged to her after a short pause. Why does he have the keys? Did I drop them just now? Why did Ye Moxuan send them back in person even if I did drop my keys earlier?
Han Muzi looked up in a pleasant surprise, and her clear eyes reflected her emotions. “Were you waiting for me here to return my keys to me?”
Ye Moxuan hesitated before answering her, “Who says that I’ve been waiting for you here?”
Han Muzi replied promptly, “Weren’t you? In that case, why were you waiting right here when I was passing by?”
“Ha!” Ye Moxuan laughed mirthlessly before making a jeering remark, “I just wanted to see what else you could do. Right now, it seems like you love scheming and you enjoy flattering yourself.”
The way he speaks now is just like how he used to five years ago… Previously, when I just married into the Ye Family, this is how badly he treated me after learning that I’ve had a divorce, coupled with the fact that I got married to him on behalf of my sister. Han Muzi was rooted to the spot as he stared at his back view. Then, she looked down slowly at the keys in her hand. He must have held onto the keys for a very long time because they are still warm from his touch. So warm…
Han Muzi lowered her head and pressed her cheek against the keys. This is wonderful. His warmth… is real.

The news of Ye Moxuan showing up in the Yuchi Family did not make it back to China. However, the news of Han Muzi suddenly taking leave shocked everyone in the company. She had been extremely busy ever since she took over the Vice President position in the Ye Group to replace Ye Moxuan. Chen had stood on her side to support her ever since she joined the company. Later on, he helped her overcome many hurdles, and so Han Qing and Su Jiu got hold of him the first chance they could to tell him about this issue.
Chen almost burst out in tears when he heard that Ye Moxuan was still alive. He stroked his beard while commenting earnestly, “I knew that fellow wouldn’t die so easily. He used to always get on my nerves. How can he possibly just die like that? Sigh, Muzi is truly blessed. Who would have thought her wait could have amounted to something? In that case, how is Moxuan, that little brat, now? Why didn’t she bring him home since she found him?”
Su Jiu smiled faintly. “Mr. Chen, it is difficult to explain this matter. However, it’s good news that Young Master Ye is still alive. However, the rest of the matter is rather complicated because Young Master Ye… seemed to have lost his memory. He can’t recall anything from the past at all.”
Chen’s eyes widened in surprise. “What did you say? Did that little brat lose his memory?” Chen then blurted out as if something struck him, “In that case, wouldn’t Muzi…”
“Mm-hmm.” Su Jiu nodded in response. “Miss Muzi is staying there because she is determined to bring Young Master Ye home. However, before she brings him home, we have to rely on you for matters related to the company, Mr. Chen.”
Chen swelled with a sudden sense of justice when he heard that. He patted his chest confidently while reassuring them, “Don’t worry about this. I will take good care of the company since she has decided the course of action. I will never allow those with evil intentions to take advantage of this situation.”
Su Jiu burst out laughing at his reaction. “Mr. Chen, you are truly interesting.”
Han Qing pressed his lips together into a thin smile. “No wonder Muzi always praises you in front of me, Mr. Chen. Regarding this matter, Muzi told us beforehand that we are to only inform you, Mr. Chen, and no one else.”
Chen now had an even stronger sense of calling after learning that he was the only one who knew about Ye Moxuan. He was almost moved to tears. “Don’t worry, as long as Muzi is in the company, I, Chen, will never betray her trust in me. Alas, after living most of my life, the feeling of being trusted is awesome.”
