Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 712

The wedding venue was a mess.

When Han Qing rushed out, he happened to see her fall. Heading straight to Han Muzi, he helped her up with a cold expression. He noticed that her snow-white wedding gown was sporting several black footprints where it had been stepped on. The skin on her shoulder was scraped and torn, and her milky-white forehead had a huge red bruise as if something had knocked hard into her. How could such a drastic change happen in just a few minutes?

Yan took one look around and pondered for a while. She turned around and started yelling angrily at the press, “Are you guys inhumane? Even after such a big incident has happened, you still knocked over and hit her! Are you really journalists? You’re more like paparazzi!”

Yan’s angry ranting made the press gathered on-site sober up quickly—they had been over-excited just now. Seeing Han Qing help up the pale-faced Han Muzi, who was injured and leaning weakly in her brother’s arms, they inadvertently took a few steps back and suddenly felt a little guilty.

“We are sorry. We lost ourselves in the moment. It wasn’t intentional. Miss Han doesn’t look too good. It would be good to quickly send her to the hospital for a checkup.”

“That’s right; that’s right. The skin on her arm is torn; hurry up and send her to the hospital.”

All the strength had left Han Muzi’s body. At the moment, she had no strength at all. She leaned against Han Qing like a piece of clay. He knew that they couldn’t delay any longer, and simply picked her up in his arms. “I’ll send her to the hospital. You should immediately contact the employees to clear out the place. Handle it.”

“Alright.” Yan couldn’t care about other matters right now, and could only do as Han Qing had instructed.

He carried Han Muzi and left. As he was about to enter the car, Han Muzi, who had been lying weakly in his arms, suddenly reached out and grabbed his sleeve. “Did something happen to Moxuan? Was what they were saying true?”

He paused mid-step, then stopped walking.

“I don’t believe it.” Her deathly-pale face looked up at her brother who was carrying her. “Qing, tell me… What the press said just now… Is it true?”

Pursing his lips, he said nothing until he brought her into the car, then he softly said, “It’s too chaotic here. You shouldn’t stay here any longer. Let’s go to the hospital to treat your wounds first.” He stared at her scraped up shoulder and her pale countenance.

“No!” She shook her head and grabbed his sleeve tightly. “I won’t go to the hospital! I want to go to the airport!”

To the airport? He furrowed his brows. “If we go to the airport now, it’ll probably be swarming with reporters too.”

“I need to look for him, Qing…” She raised her head; her eyes were hollow and lifeless. Clutching at his hands, she looked like a dying fish that was holding onto its last ray of hope—reluctant to let go.

These eyes… He couldn’t bear to keep looking at her. Pursing his lips and gritting his teeth, he said, “Look for him? Where will you go to find him? Do you think you’d find him if you went to the airport?’

“I want to go to the airport.” She insisted stubbornly.

Han Qing then looked toward the driver. “Head to the nearest hospital. We need to treat her wounds.”

Han Muzi widened her eyes in shock at his words and stared at him incredulously. “I won’t go to the hospital!”

“Your hand is injured and your condition isn’t good. We need to go to the hospital immediately.” He was insistent.

Han Muzi said nothing and simply looked at him for a few moments. Then, she tried to climb over him to open the car door in a burst of strength that came out of nowhere. The car was already moving, and her behavior was extremely dangerous. He quickly grabbed her to stop her and growled, “Are you crazy? You’ll die if you fall from here!”

She then answered stubbornly. “Even if I died, I still wouldn’t go to the hospital! I told you I want to go to the airport! Stop the car! Stop the car!”

Han Qing was speechless. Looking at her crazy actions, he felt extremely frustrated. Having been by her side for so many years, he was well aware that she would not be deterred when she decided to do something. Whatever she had decided on, even if she came out battered and injured, she would still do willingly.

He stopped her hands, closed his eyes, and then said, “Turn the car around and go to the airport.”

The driver obeyed Han Qing’s instructions; if he asked him to turn around, then the driver wouldn’t dare say anything else. As such, the driver immediately turned the car around and drove in the direction of the airport.

Feeling a little relieved now that the car had changed its course, she tremblingly took out her phone to book flight tickets. Watching her, Han Qing, who was sitting beside her, interrupted her. “You want to book flight tickets? Have you decided where you’re going? Even if the plane had met with an accident, the news hasn’t even been reported yet. You don’t even know where you need to go.”

Han Muzi paused with her hand on the screen, After a while, she lifted her head to look at her brother. “Then, tell me… What should I do? I can’t get through to his phone. I can’t find him. Are you saying… I should just do nothing?”

He took a deep breath and nodded his head. “Truthfully, it would be best for you to do nothing right now. Calm down and think about it; what can you do?”

Listening to what he just said, she immediately realized that there was nothing she could do. Going to the airport? Buying flight tickets? But where was I supposed to go? Where did Moxuan’s accident occur? What’s the situation like right now? As she thought about it, she hurriedly exited the ticket booking interface and checked the news instead. Simultaneously, she instructed her brother, “Qing, please help me check the news. Where did the plane accident occur? Has it been confirmed?”

Han Qing didn’t move; only his gaze lightly landed on her pale shoulder. There was a large bruise there; the skin was torn and blood oozed out. It stained her snow-white wedding gown and looked like cherry blossoms falling onto the snow-covered ground—blooming one-by-one.

She was… obviously injured, but she didn’t seem to feel the pain. He heaved a sigh and took out his phone to help her check the news in a resigned manner. When they arrived at the airport, the authorities had yet to announce the location of the plane accident. They waited anxiously in the car.

“Will the authorities announce the location of the plane accident?” If they refuse to announce it, then we—”

“Don’t panic. I’ve sent somebody to check it out. Perhaps Ye Moxuan wasn’t even on that plane. Don’t worry too much. I’ve ordered somebody to bring the medicine; we need to treat your wound.”

“If he wasn’t on that plane, he wouldn’t keep his phone turned off until now.” She lifted her head to look at him with eyes showing a sliver of hope. “Qing, can we calculate the location of the plane accident based on the time of the accident?”

Han Qing didn’t say anything. Pursing his lips, he sternly reminded her, “Treat your wounds first. Then, we’ll wait for news.”

She looked at him blankly and shook her head. “I can’t… Qing, I can’t wait for the news. I can’t wait any longer. I… may not be able to do anything, but… I really can’t just sit around and do nothing… Please help me. Can you help me, please?” As Han Muzi spoke, her eyes were red, her nose was itchy, and her heart was numb. But the tears that pooled in her eyes never fell.

The driver watched the scene unfold from his seat in front; his eyes reddened slightly as if he too could feel the despair in her heart.
