Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 711

Yan shook her head. “Didn’t I tell you…”

“Yan, if you still think of me as your best friend, then stop doing all these unnecessary things to delay my time or block my way.”

Han Muzi’s voice sharpened—even her eyes had become stern. Yan, who was a former employee at Ye Moxuan’s company, thought Han Muzi’s gaze looked exactly like Ye Moxuan’s. Her heart was filled with mixed emotions, but thinking about Ye Moxuan’s accident, she gritted her teeth and mustered up her courage to continue explaining, “How could I not think of you as my best friend? It’s exactly because you are my best friend that I can’t watch you go out looking like this! Muzi, don’t rush, alright? Let me fix your makeup first. You are the bride!”

Han Muzi’s expression darkened. “Really? Am I the bride? At a wedding without the groom?”

Yan didn’t reply to Muzi.

“Did something happen?” Han Muzi asked again.

Han Muzi’s gaze was as sharp as knives; Yan had always known that Han Muzi and Ye Moxuan were quite alike in some ways, but she didn’t expect them to be so similar. Han Muzi’s gaze right now looked very much like the way Ye Moxuan’s gaze used to sweep over her.

She hunched her shoulders weakly, then shook her head. “N-Nothing happened… but…”

“You don’t need to say anymore.” Han Muzi took a deep breath and tried to calm her emotions. “If you won’t tell me, I won’t force you. But this is the last time I’m asking; if you still won’t move aside, I’m going to get angry.”

Yan raised her head and anxiously looked at Han Muzi. “Muzi…”

Han Muzi’s face was expressionless and her eyes were uncompromising—both seemed to say that there was no discussion. If Yan refused to move aside, then they might not even remain as friends anymore.

Yan felt fearful and could only slowly move aside.

She finally moved aside… Just as Han Muzi took a step forward while holding up the hem of her dress, a tall figure appeared in front of her and blocked her path. “Qing?”

Han Qing’s gloomy gaze fell on her face; his expression was cold without a hint of warmth. “Don’t go out.”

“Are you blocking my way too?” Han Muzi asked.

Seeing that he didn’t speak, she laughed miserably. “This is my wedding! Why can’t I go outside? Can you… tell me the reason why?”

The facial expressions of Han Qing and Yan were solemn, but at the same time, they refused to answer her questions. The unease in her heart kept getting stronger; unable to take it anymore, she rushed past them while exclaiming, “If you won’t tell me then forget it! I’ll go out myself! Moxuan may be arriving soon. If he sees that I’m not there, then he—”

Her arm holding up the train of her dress was caught by Han Qing. She tried to continue pushing past him, but she couldn’t move an inch. “Let me go.”

“Don’t go.” His tone gradually became gloomier, like dark clouds covering the skies.

Standing by the side, Yan noticed that the aura around him had changed; she involuntarily hunched her shoulders even more and saw the tears that had already gathered in Han Muzi’s eyes. “Why? If you’re going to stop me from going out, you should at least give me a reason, right?”

He turned around and looked at Han Muzi with ice-cold eyes. “What reason do you want?”

She felt her heart turning to ice and sinking downward. Her beautiful eyes that had been calm and clear suddenly seemed to overflow with anger. Forcefully shaking off his hand, she ran out while carrying the train of her skirt, without any regard for the consequences.

“Muzi!” Upon seeing her run out, Yan hurriedly chased after her.

However, Han Qing stopped Yan, thereupon she exclaimed, “Let me go quickly! Muzi went outside! Quickly let go!”

“Let her go.” He pinched his lips together and said emotionlessly, “She’ll find out eventually anyway; we can’t keep it from her for much longer.

“But…” The tears that had started pooling in Yan’s eyes flowed out uncontrollably and she started crying. “Muzi won’t be able to bear it once she knows the truth.”

He pursed his lips together—his expression was terrifyingly gloomy—but he did nothing. At this point in time… whatever it was that they did would be pointless anyway.

After running out without any regard for the consequences, Han Muzi found that it was a mess outside. Someone among the press had learned of the information while checking the news and incidentally exposed the fact that Ye Moxuan was a passenger of the plane involved in the accident. Therefore, the crowd at the scene—that had been waiting for the groom who had yet to appear after so long—exploded in fervor, and frantically began filming the scene after the news spread.

When Han Muzi walked out, somebody shouted out that the bride had arrived. The press then swarmed around her; countless cameras and flashing lights were pointed at her face.

“Miss Han, I heard that the reason the groom hasn’t appeared was that the plane he was on was involved in an accident. Is that true? Do you know about this?”

“Miss Han, if something really happened to Mr. Ye, will the marriage ceremony today go on?”

“Miss Han, how long have you been waiting today? Are you sad that your future husband has been met with an accident?”

She was shocked into silence as countless questions stabbed into her heart like cold and sharp weapons. She didn’t know anything! First, she had been brought into the dressing room by Yan, then there had been all sorts of obstacles in her way when she tried to exit the room. After coming out, she had wanted to wait for Ye Moxuan’s arrival lest he arrived and couldn’t find her. But what’s going on here? Why is everyone in the press asking me these questions?

Ye Moxuan’s plane was involved in an accident? Why am I unaware of this?

There was a roaring sound in her head: the flashing lights were too dazzling; the lipstick on her lips had been wiped away; the flood of questions from the press right now made the blood drain away from her face and lips. She looked deathly pale. Moreover, she was wearing a white wedding dress. The combined look made her seem like a girl made of crystal that would shatter into pieces at the slightest touch. Even so, the cameras kept focusing on her and the press kept squeezing toward her. One of the cameras even pushed up directly in front of her face.

“Miss Han, based on your expression, you know about this incident, right? Why are you still waiting here? Are you not worried that something happened to your future husband?”

“Is your marriage to Mr. Ye arranged by your respective families out of necessity?”

“Miss Han…”

“Miss Han!”

Han Muzi could no longer hear what the surrounding press was shouting at her. A camera pushed forward and hit her on the head. The pain caused her to take a step back, but the crowd—thinking that she wanted to escape—squeezed up against her again. Amidst all the chaos, someone pushed her, and she staggered before falling backward onto the stone-cold floor.

I-It can’t be… How could something happen to Ye Moxuan? It’s impossible… He promised me that he would give me a surprise… He also promised that he would cherish and take care of me and Little Bean for the rest of his life! This is impossible!
