Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 633

While going down the stairs to leave from work, Han Muzi noticed Ye Linhan waiting downstairs. Recalling what he had said when fetching her back to work in the afternoon, she sighed heavily in her heart.

It seemed like he had decided to pursue her seriously. How should she refuse Ye Linhan in order for him to give up?

As she thought about that, Han Muzi pretended not to catch sight of him. Carrying her car key in her hand, she walked straight toward the parking lot.

She had barely walked a few steps after turning around when Ye Linhan came up and blocked her path. “Didn’t I say that I would bring you home? We could pick Little Bean up on the way,” he said.

“Vice President Ye, I’m afraid you must have remembered wrongly. We never agreed upon it,” Han Muzi denied as she pursed her red lips.

Ye Linhan was obviously taken aback, but he quickly smiled again and replied, “Muzi, you don’t have to be stressed about it; I just want to put in a little more effort.”

“I do not have any stress, but I do have my own car.” She dangled the car key in her hand and said, “I need to drive my car back home.”

His eyes wavered.

“In that case, do I have the pleasure of sitting in your car and keeping you company while you fetch Little Bean?”

Han Muzi was speechless.

Why did she feel mentally exhausted?

“If I’m not mistaken, you must’ve drove here earlier. If you come along with me in my car, what are we going to do with yours? Therefore, it’d be better for you to drive back in your own car today.”

All of a sudden, Han Muzi halted her footsteps abruptly as she stared dumbfoundedly at the scene before her.

Noticing that she had stopped, Ye Linhan followed her gaze and looked ahead as well.

The underground parking lot didn’t seem exceptionally bright, but there was a slender and tall silhouette leaning against a car; his handsome face was partially hidden under the shadow and the dark eyes were unreadable.

Wasn’t that Ye Moxuan, who had been driven away by her earlier on?

Her lips slightly quivered and she was speechless. Intuitively, she glanced sideward at Ye Linhan, who had just arrived at her side.

The atmosphere between them when they ran into each other at the supermarket last time was tense, and now, they saw each other once again in the parking lot today.

Upon seeing him, Han Muzi felt even more exhausted as she shut her eyes and felt a headache coming on.

Shortly after, a gentle laugh was heard beside her. Ye Linhan’s voice was as soft-spoken as always when he asked, “Did you refuse to let me get into your car because of Moxuan?”

She replied, “Of course…”

Not.

She didn’t even know that Ye Moxuan was here. When she saw him in the afternoon, there were obviously dark circles around his eyes; she thought that he would go back home and rest, not expecting to see him here.

Does this fellow not take a rest at all?

While she was deep in thought, the guy who leaned against her car suddenly moved. His eyes seemed to have casually glanced over as he raised his hand and crooked his fingers to beckon her over.

“Come here.”

Han Muzi didn’t say a word; they just had an intense argument in the afternoon. How did he manage to calm down so soon? Moreover, how could he use such a look and tone to call her over as if nothing had happened?

She stood on her ground without moving an inch.

Ye Moxuan had probably lost his patience after seeing Han Muzi standing in place, so his long legs strode toward her after he straightened up his body.

Han Muzi sensed the look in his eyes and his body oozing with murderous intent as he walked toward her!

Murderous intent?

She subconsciously bit her lips; in the blink of an eye, Ye Moxuan had already walked up to her. As if he was transparent, Ye Moxuan ignored Ye Linhan—who was standing beside Han Muzi—as he held the latter’s hands and proceeded to turn around to leave.

Ye Moxuan was very strong, and Han Muzi was pulled forward with great force. However, she felt another pull on her other arm barely two steps after.

She turned her head to see Ye Linhan grabbing her arm.

“Moxuan, even if you are looking for her, you should know to follow the order of arrival, shouldn’t you?”

A smile was plastered on Ye Linhan’s face, but there was no warmth in his eyes; he simply stared coldly at Ye Moxuan.

“Pfft.”

Ye Moxuan jeered at him without even raising his eyes to look at Ye Linhan.

“Order of arrival? I have been here waiting for her since this afternoon, yet you want to fight with me on this?”

With an affirmative hum, Ye Linhan gave Ye Moxuan a faint smile as he replied nonchalantly. “What a coincidence! Muzi and I agreed to meet up this afternoon. Why didn’t we see you when we were out for lunch? Did you make an appointment before we had lunch together?”

Upon hearing this, Han Muzi widened her eyes in shock as she looked at Ye Linhan with disbelief; she couldn’t believe that a gentle guy like him would say such a thing to set himself against Ye Moxuan.

She didn’t know the reason behind it, but she couldn’t help thinking that Ye Linhan’s behavior had started to change—his words were evidently aimed to provoke Ye Moxuan.

Squinting his eyes, Ye Moxuan suddenly looked at Han Muzi dangerously; she stood there expressionlessly, pretending to not notice the look in his eyes.

After a while, he sneered and finally looked up at Ye Linhan.

“It seems like you are looking for trouble today.”

As soon as he finished talking, he loosened his grip on Han Muzi’s arm and raised his fist to hit Ye Linhan.

A dull thud was immediately heard; it was like a boulder thumping on Han Muzi’s heart, making her jump in fright. Before she could realize what was going on, she saw Ye Moxuan’s fist connecting with Ye Linhan’s jaw.

Soon enough, Han Muzi noticed a blood streak form on the corner of Ye Linhan’s lips.

With her lips quivering, she intended to move forward but her wrist was pulled back; Ye Moxuan had dragged her behind him.

Blocked by the tall silhouette in front of her, Han Muzi couldn’t see Ye Linhan’s expressions and emotions at all.

Ye Linhan raised his hand to wipe off the blood from the corner of his lips; he had a look of viciousness in his eyes as he looked up and stared at Ye Moxuan. He then smiled faintly and said, “Why are you so reckless? Moxuan, you can’t hit me just because I made an appointment with Muzi earlier than you did.”

Looking at the guy in front of him with a smile plastered on his face, Ye Moxuan found him insincere.

“You want to date my woman, but have you asked for my permission?”

As soon as he finished speaking, he aimed another fist toward Ye Linhan.

Hearing yet another dull thud, Han Muzi was horrified and stretched her neck to take a look from behind Ye Moxuan. She noticed that Ye Linhan had been hit until he stumbled backward; his lips were bloodied and his jaw was completely bruised.

Yet, Ye Linhan didn’t seem to feel any pain at all. When he raised his head to look straight into her eyes, he gave her a comforting smile.

Suddenly, she felt like her heart was being tightly squeezed. Biting her lips, she glanced at Ye Linhan.

Why isn’t he fighting back?

Why isn’t he fighting back after being hit this badly?

“Do you know what I hate about you the most?” Ye Moxuan lowered his voice and asked. Unlike Ye Linhan, Ye Moxuan’s face had darkened and his eyes were bloodshot when he lunged forward to grab Ye Linhan’s collar.

“I hate how insincere and two-faced you look right now.”

With that, another fist landed on Ye Linhan.

Unable to support himself, Ye Linhan stumbled backward and finally fell to the ground.

Han Muzi’s face turned ashen. Before Ye Moxuan could throw another punch at him, she rushed into the heated scene and shielded Ye Linhan.

“Stop fighting!”
