Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 632

It was needless to say that Ye Moxuan did not let go of her. He was insistent that if he allowed her to push him away now, he would never find out the truth from her. Locking his grip on her waist, he remained indifferent to everything that she was doing to him.

Han Muzi grew tired and stopped struggling, but she glared at him with her teeth clenched. Ye Moxuan sighed after seeing her reaction. “I went abroad because there was an important contract to sign there.”

She looked at him without responding and her expression showed that she did not believe him either.

Ye Moxuan had no choice but to explain further, “The meetings took longer than expected with the travel distance from abroad taking up an extra chunk of time too. After that, I went to get you a present and rushed back overnight.”

As he said so, he drew closer to her so that she saw his blood-shot eyes.

“I could give up my life for you, but you are suspecting that I am seeing another woman? Muzi, what’s going on?”

He sighed, bending over to give her a tight hug.

“I’ve been chaste for five years and it is for you. I don’t think I can ever be physically close to anyone except you.”

In his arms, her petite body remained still—as if she was still indifferent to his words. He slowly pulled himself back and looked at her in a state of bewilderment.

“You still don’t want to believe me?”

She laughed coldly, staring at him. “Those are such lovely words that you have said. The fact that you are able to say them makes me wonder where you picked them up from in the last five years, Young Master Ye. I really wonder if it is indeed from your heart.”

Ye Moxuan was at a loss for words.

“Who did you sleep with last night?”

Ye Moxuan frowned. “Don’t you think you’re being a little unreasonable today?”

I’m being unreasonable?

Han Muzi glared at him, suddenly realizing that she was no longer in a relationship with him and behaving in this manner would seem to make her unreasonable.

But… what if I wanted to be unreasonable?

She was reminded of the fact that he had spent a night together with another woman yesterday and they might even have gone to bed together. Upon having such thoughts, she felt rather disgusted with herself.

“Get out of my way!” She suddenly snapped at him. “Get out of my way and return to your gentle woman!”

At first instance, Ye Moxuan thought that she only suspected that he cheated on her, so she wanted to feel him out and sneer at him. Something was terribly wrong now. If she was just feeling me out, why would she be so enraged?

Could it be that…?

An image from last night flashed into his mind all of a sudden.

It was the image of Duan Muxue holding his phone as she sat on the couch with a smug look on her face, as if she had just won a battle with someone.

Panic flashed across her eyes when she saw him, but she quickly calmed down and gave him a call.

Could it be…

Ye Moxuan squinted his eyes in a menacing manner.

Could it be that the woman secretly entered my room while I was taking a shower and did something with my phone to cause Han Muzi to be so mad?

There was nothing between him and Duan Muxue, so even if Han Muzi did not know much, he was not afraid to let her know.

As soon as he thought of this possibility, he immediately asked, “Did anybody call you last night?”

Han Muzi did not know what to say.

She never thought that he would be able to catch hold of what went on. With a smirk, she said, “Who do you think called me last night?”

“A woman, “ Ye Moxuan unhesitatingly said.

Han Muzi froze. “So you’re finally admitting it?”

He roughly guessed what went on just by looking at her expression. “That woman is the sister of my working partner. He was the one who arranged my hotel and she sneaked into my room using the key card she stole,” he snorted.

“What do you mean?”

Ye Moxuan caught her by her wrist, then searched her eyes and said in a low voice, “What I meant was, if anybody who called you and told you anything last night, it is not true.”

Han Muzi was at a loss for words.

She laughed in a cold manner again after a moment of silence.

“Why should I believe you? You were abroad and I wasn’t there. You can say anything you want now and I will never know if it is true.”

He was rather hurt by his words. She noticed that it had caused his expression to turn sour with his eyes darkening.

“Do you not have the slightest trust in me?”

Trust?

“Has trust ever existed between us?”

The atmosphere sank into an awkward silence.

Han Muzi understood what he was thinking. He must have felt that she did not believe him. As such, she reminded him of the incident that happened five years ago—of how he did not believe her—so that he could reflect on himself.

“You have always been the person who suspected that I cheated on you,” Han Muzi firmly said in a calm voice. “And I guess now it’s my turn to do so. Ye Moxuan, you shouldn’t think that you have everything under control. I am no longer the Shen Qi that I was five years ago—the girl who spent her days being overly cautious and trembling in fear just to survive the Ye Family. I am no longer the same girl who was ridiculed by you at the company in front of all the employees and who had to endure the humiliation all by myself. I’m also not the girl who clearly knew that she didn’t have a place in your heart, but foolishly willing to continue loving you.”

“She is dead. She died years ago. Five years have passed and don’t you understand the situation that we’re in now? Ever since we met up again, you have wanted us to reconcile, but have you ever considered my opinions? Have you ever thought about how hurt I was and how you treated me back then? Just because you refused to see me, did I deserve to stand at the door under the rain and wait for you until I blacked out. And now you asked me to believe you, but why should I do so?”

“All I know now is that a woman picked up the phone when I called you. I am not interested to find out the misunderstanding, even if there was any. You, President Ye, went abroad to attend meetings yet a woman was easily able to get her hands on your hotel key card. I really don’t believe that this was the truth.”

With that, she pushed him away and turned around. All Ye Moxuan saw was only her back.

“The current Han Muzi has her pride and dignity. If you cannot promise to give me happiness and a sense of security, please don’t ever appear before me again. And I mean, forever,” she firmly insisted in a cold tone.

Even after she had entered the lounge, he was so shocked that he couldn’t respond.

When he finally came to his senses, he realized that the phone call from last night had the tables turned on him. His face was livid with anger and his fist was tightly clenched.

Duan Muxue!

Meanwhile, after Han Muzi entered the lounge, she leaned her back on the door and panted.

Emotions stirred in her at this moment and it was difficult to calm down.

I made myself clear to him a moment ago, so he should be clear about my concerns after this. If he is unable to settle his problems, then he most probably will not appear before me again, which would be for the best since I’m already tired of handling this pair of brothers. As for the promise to Little Bean about finding him a father, I will need to create an excuse to explain it to him.

With that, she closed her eyes out of exhaustion.

Oh, how shaky life was…
