Their impasse went on silently with Ye Moxuan gluing his glower at her until there was a knock on the door. It was Xiao Su.
“Young Master Ye, the meeting will begin soon.”
Ye Moxuan regained his composure and commented frostily, “We can get the procedure done, but I’m not available now. Go and wait outside.”
With that, Ye Moxuan rolled his wheelchair toward the door.
Shen Qi turned around without hesitation and caught up with him. “How long do I have to wait? There should be a time limit for that, don’t you think?”
“Ha! You are only absent for a few days and you’ve already forgotten how long a meeting lasts in the Ye Group? Perhaps you need to experience it once again to refresh your memory.”
Shen Qi stopped dead in her tracks when she heard that.
Normally, a meeting will last at least two hours. After pondering for a while, she asked, “Will we go through the divorce when you’re done?”

Shen Qi was alone in the lounge, waiting.
Since Ye Moxuan did not have a secretary and Xiao Su had followed him to the conference room, no one was there to entertain Shen Qi who was sitting alone in the lounge. Fortunately, Shen Qi knew the place like the back of her hand. Since the meeting would take more than two hours, she might as well make herself comfortable. She went to the pantry to get herself a cup of green tea, then returned to the lounge and flipped through some magazines to pass her time.
Waiting without anything to do for an hour was difficult and challenging enough, let alone doing that for two hours.
Time passed by slowly. When Shen Qi felt that she had waited long enough, she checked the time on her phone screen and realized to her dismay that only half an hour was gone.
