Jiang Xiaobai didn’t care whether others would call her capricious or whatever.
At that moment, she just wanted to marry Xiao Su, give birth to his children and spend the rest of her life with him.
She rarely liked any man and just wanted to remain single forever. After all, she felt that women didn’t need to rely on men these days. Whatever men were capable of doing, she could do it as well. Therefore she didn’t think she had to find a partner, which would bring down the quality of her life.
However, the man before her eyes made her feel that she could live the rest of her life with him.
He was the only man that made her feel this way after so many years, thus she wouldn’t allow herself to miss this man.
You might meet someone you adored and wanted to live with him, but you might not want to have children with him or spend the rest of your life with him.
What else was there for you to consider when all those conditions were met? The question was rendered redundant when he was a good man whose parents also liked you.
That was the guiding belief in Jiang Xiaobai’s life, hence she made that decision without hesitation.
Nevertheless, Xiao Su was dumbfounded. It wasn’t certain whether it was because he was hit by Jiang Xiaobai, or he was stunned by her proposal. He never came to his senses for a long time.
Jiang Xiaobai then stared aggrievedly at him and complained, “Hey, you’re so unromantic. I’m asking you to marry me, so how could you have no reaction at all? Even if you don’t take the initiative, you should at least give me some reaction. For example, you can say that you’re happy or… Mmm—”
Before she could finish her words, Xiao Su had leaned in to her and kissed her, rendering her speechless.
Jiang Xiaobai was stunned by the unexpected kiss. Her eyelashes fluttered as she dazedly looked at the man who was kissing her seriously with closed eyes.

She closed her eyes and enjoyed the kiss as well.
A long while later, Xiao Su moved away and pressed against her forehead with his own as he panted.
“Have you made up your mind?”
Understanding what he was asking about, Jiang Xiaobai answered directly, “Yes.”
“Alright,” Xiao Su said in a hoarse voice as he lifted her up and walked toward the bedroom.
Jiang Xiaobai batted her eyes in embarrassment. “What are you doing?”
“Change clothes.”
Change clothes? What? Jiang Xiaobai thought they were going to make love, but he just wanted to change clothes. Why did she have to do it now?
After Jiang Xiaobai got changed, they left the house.
“It’s cold outside. Put on something.”
With that, Xiao Su took off his scarf and draped it around her neck. After they entered the elevator, Jiang Xiaobai questioned puzzledly, “Where are we going?”
She didn’t understand why they had to go out after she proposed to him.
Were they going to meet his parents?
Xiao Su didn’t answer her question. Unable to figure out what he was trying to do, Jiang Xiaobai decided to give up.
A while later, Xiao Su parked the car in the underground parking lot of a supermarket. They then reached for the sixth floor in an elevator.
The sixth floor was mostly occupied with jewelry shops. It was until then that Jiang Xiaobai figured out why they came here.
Although she already guessed it, she wanted to tease him.
“Why did you bring me here? It’s late now. I’m hungry.”
Hearing that, Xiao Su halted his steps and turned to her. “Then should we have dinner first?”
Jiang Xiaobai’s mouth twitched. I shouldn’t have said that!
Fortunately, Xiao Su came to his senses as he hugged her slim waist and whispered gently, “Let’s choose our wedding rings first before having dinner. Bear with it a while longer, and I’ll treat you to whatever you like to eat.”

As soon as they stopped in front of a jewelry shop, a sales assistant came forward to serve them.
“Hi, Sir and Miss, how may I help you?”
Xiao Su said, “We’re looking for wedding rings.”

Jiang Xiaobai was shy as Xiao Su held her hand and moved forward, while the sales assistant was introducing the company’s latest collections.
“We have many types of wedding rings. You can have a look at this collection. These are the latest rings of the season that are made in accordance with the current esthetic trend.”
The sales assistant took out a pair of rings and showed them.
Jiang Xiaobai took a look at the shape and style of the rings, but she didn’t like them. These rings were said to be new, but they were of the most common and outdated style. Just when she wanted to say something, Xiao Su spoke for her as though he could read her mind, “Are there more special rings?”
The sales assistant understood that they didn’t like the rings and immediately ruled out other rings that were of similar style. Then, she introduced to them other collections.
However, they never found the ideal rings after going through many collections.
Eventually, the sales assistant said helplessly, “Don’t you like them? Then do you want to try our custom-made rings?”
Custom-made rings?
Jiang Xiaobai’s interest was piqued. “What do those look like?”
“You can describe how you want the rings to look like, and our professional artist will draw them out. You can have a look when the sketches are ready. If you’re okay with the style, we’ll make the rings according to that. However, it will be costly, which is about two times more expensive than normal rings.”
So expensive?
Jiang Xiaobai had made Xiao Su spend lots of money at the bar some time back, so she directly rejected, “Nevermind. We’ll look at other rings.”
Nevertheless, Xiao Su said, “Let’s have the rings custom-made.”
Hearing that, Jiang Xiaobai gazed at him in disbelief. “Xiao Su?”
Is he out of his mind?
“Aren’t you a creative person? How do you want the rings to look like?” Xiao Su never noticed anything wrong as he cocked his head and looked at her.
Jiang Xiaobai pressed her lips together and flashed a smile to the sales assistant. “Excuse me, I’ll have a talk with him.”
The sales assistant nodded with a smile.
Jiang Xiaobai then pulled him out of the shop and said in a lowered voice, “It’s expensive to have the rings custom-made. We don’t have to splurge so much on wedding rings. If this shop doesn’t have the rings we like, we can go to other shops. I’m sure we’ll find the ideal rings.”
“I will only marry once in my lifetime, so the wedding rings are very important, and I don’t see it as splurging. Custom-made rings are definitely much better than ready-made ones.”
“But they’re expensive! You already spent lots of money at the bar back then. Although I want to marry you, I don’t want you to waste so much money!”
“It’s not wasting money. I’m doing this on my free will.” Pursing his lips, Xiao Su gazed at her and said seriously, “I’ve never squandered my money since I started working. My savings will be yours after we marry.”
