An Understated Dominance Chapter 2053 by Marina Vittori

Every time Crystal swung her sword, it left a bleeding gash on the bearded- burly man. Within moments, he had been stabbed over a dozen times, left without any means of defense.

Despite his strength, she outclassed him entirely in skill. The spectators were amazed and impressed as her advanced swordsmanship shone brightly.

“Ah!” the bearded-burly man cried in agony.

With his tendons severed, he collapsed onto the ground. He was now crippled, covered in blood and numerous wounds, though they were not fatal.

“Chief!” The Butcher Guild disciples were shocked and enraged to witness their typically imposing and unstoppable chief suffering in such a manner.

“Damn it! How dare you hurt our chief? You’re pushing your luck!”

“Everyone! Let’s teach this bitch a lesson!”

The Butcher Guild disciples roared, brandishing their machetes and charging at Crystal with anger.

She snorted coldly and mercilessly thrust her sword into the attacking crowd. “Ember Strike!”

In less than a moment, the Butcher Guild disciples were screaming and collapsing to the ground. Some had broken hands, others broken feet, and blood splattered everywhere.

“Great job with that sword, Crystal!” the girl in red cheered.

“Hmph! These troublemakers dared to challenge the mighty Sword Union. They don’t know their place!” Miles spat disdainfully.

“What… what? You’re the Sword Union disciples?” Upon hearing this, the faces of the Butcher Guild members turned pale with fear.

The Sword Union was one of the three major sects in the martial world, alongside the World Society and the Mystic Arts Order. Although the Sword Union had few disciples, each one was exceptional.

A standout among them was Glenn. He was young but already on the Legendary List, ranking tenth on the Astonishing World List. This made him one of the top elites in the world.

The Sword Union claimed two spots in the top ten of the Astonishing World List, solidifying their leadership among the three major factions.

The Butcher Guild disciples were unaware they would run into the Sword Union disciples. If the Butcher Guild disciples had known, no amount of bravery would have encouraged them to be so daring.

Miles stepped forward, planted his foot on the bearded-burly man’s chest, and said condescendingly, “What’s the matter? Are you feeling scared now? Weren’t you guys pretty arrogant just a moment ago? Let’s see if you can keep up the tough act.”

“We messed up, and we won’t do it again! Please have mercy and let us go! “The bearded-burly man, looking worried, pleaded for forgiveness.

Crystal spoke coldly, “Don’t let me catch sight of you again. Hurry up and scram!”

“Yes, we’re leaving!” The bearded- burly man nodded and hastily signaled his companions to carry him out.

Soon, the troublemakers disappeared without a trace.

“Crystal, why did you let them go? They’re all scum of the martial world,” the girl in red asked, looking confused.

“They’re already crippled. They won’t cause any trouble in the future. Let them live,” Crystal replied calmly.

No intense hatred existed, so there was no reason to kill the Butcher Guild members.

“Thank you for the help, Miss. We’re truly grateful.” Dalen promptly stood up and expressed his gratitude.

Crystal shook her head slightly and said, “Just a small gesture, not a big deal.”

“You’re gorgeous, miss. Be careful when you’re out and about,” the girl in red sweetly warned.

“Miss, are you hurt? I know about medicine. Would you like me to check?” Miles approached with a gentle smile, appearing like a caring man.

Upon hearing this, the corner of Dalen’s mouth twitched, and with a strange expression, he said, “I’m a man.”

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
