An Understated Dominance Chapter 2015 by Marina Vittori

“Huh?”

The sudden change threw everyone off guard. Everything happened in a split second, and they barely had any time to react.

Dustin took Alexander down in a blink of an eye. In an instant, Alexander was already seriously wounded.

To most of the martial artists, Alexander, the leader of Frostwing Sect, was flung toward a wall in a heartbeat.

The entire situation happened too rapidly.

“H-How is this possible?” Bran was dumbfounded when he saw how badly injured Alexander was. His eyes widened in disbelief.

He had never imagined that Alexander would be defeated tragically, let alone lose in a fight.

After all, Alexander was one of the five strongest people in the Southwest. He was a grandmaster martial artist with excellent abilities.

Aside from Damien, the master of Drakes Dominion Order, no one could rival him in the entire southwest.

Bran thought it was a sure victory for Alexander in this battle. However, things seemed to have taken an entirely different turn.

Not only did Alexander lose, but he was also taken down by Dustin with a single strike.

The drastic change was unbearable to Bran.

“Am I possibly seeing things? The leader of Frostwing Sect lost? Lost to a brat, a mere nobody?”

“What happened? What exactly happened earlier?”

“A single strike! That brat took Mr. Forge down with a single blow. How absurd! Ridiculous even!”

“Damn it! Who is this guy? Why is he so strong?”

The crowd broke into a clamor after a brief moment of silence. The Drakes Dominion Order, Frostwing Sect, Jackson, and his companions were equally astounded by Dustin’s power.

It was still understandable when he beat Tobias and Elder Greene. After all, he was a grandmaster martial artist and had the upper hand due to his level.

However, things weren’t quite the same in Alexander’s case. He had gone past the level of grandmaster for more than a decade now, and he was incredibly skilled.

Yet, he was still taken down by Dustin with one blow despite his ultimate skills. It was beyond words for them to comprehend how flabbergasted they were from the situation.

It was marvelous. Simply amazing.

“How is this possible? Why is he so powerful?”

Yonah was slightly flustered. He was sweating profusely, and his breathing was heavy. He felt like there was a weight weighing down on his chest.

Even his father, Damien, couldn’t defeat Alexander with one blow.

Although it was partly Alexander’s fault for underestimating Dustin, it was undeniable that he was a powerful grandmaster martial artist. It demonstrated just how terrifyingly strong Dustin was since he could take Alexander down in a breeze.

Yonah began to suspect that Dustin’s strength was beyond his father’s.

How could he possibly not be terrified? He needed someone to tell him how. Most importantly, Dustin was only in his 20s. It was alien for him to possess such cultivation at such a young age.

He was literally a monster.

“He surely did keep a low profile,” Damien exclaimed as he frowned, finally recovering from his shock.

His expression turned sullen. Given his excellent sight, it was a piece of cake for him to tell how strong Dustin’s cultivation was.

This could be proven by how Alexander’s protection shield was easily shattered earlier. It fell apart in an instant, completely incapable of defense.

In light of this, Dustin was way stronger than Alexander in terms of cultivation.

It was safe to say that he was at least at the advanced level of grandmaster or even a fully developed divine-level martial artist.

A fully developed divine-level martial artist who was only in his 20s was extremely rare in the whole world, let alone in the southwest.

Damien couldn’t understand why Dustin, being as mighty as he was, would show up here. And worst of all, why was he the one witnessing it?

What should he do about it now?

“Goodness gracious! Is this what he’s been hiding all along? He’s terrifying!”

Jackson swallowed hard. Aside from being stunned, a surge of respect rose in him.

He knew Dustin was strong, but his strength went far beyond his imagination.

Dustin had taken down Alexander, the leader of Frostwing Sect, with a single blow.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
