An Understated Dominance Chapter 1976 by Marina Vittori

Although Emberson Steel’s disciples were discontent with Sophia’s actions, they had to endure it for Jackson.

Therefore, Sophia safely joined the team under Jackson’s protection.

“Sophia, let me introduce you to Ms. Linsor. Not only is she beautiful, but she’s kind-hearted too. She’s also the one who drove the members of Fantasy Sea Alliance away and saved us.

“We’re only safe right now because of her.” Jackson brought Sophia forward and did a simple introduction.

“Thank you, Ms. Linsor. I don’t know how to compensate you for saving our lives. I’ll definitely report to my elders for them to repay you once I return!” Sophia said in gratitude.

“There’s no need to be so polite, Sophia. You’re Jackson’s fiancée, which means you’re also my friend. Thus, it’s just right for me to save you.” Grace smiled faintly.

“Ms. Linsor, Emberson Steel, and Harmony Sect owe you a favor no matter what.” Jackson thanked her sincerely.

Fantasy Sea Alliance wasn’t an easy group to deal with. Despite meeting them by chance, Grace took the risk of offending Fantasy Sea Alliance to save Jackson.

Jackson would forever remember this.

“Sophia, the person beside Ms. Linsor is Dustin. He’s young, capable, and highly skilled in martial arts.

“He even managed to defeat Drakes Dominion Order’s Yonah.” Jackson then gestured toward Dustin and introduced him.

“Oh? You must be very capable to be able to defeat Drakes Dominion Order’s Yonah. You’re so young, too. May I know which sect are you from?” Sophia clasped her hands and asked in admiration.

The man in front of her was handsome and had a dignified demeanor. He was truly a rarely good-looking young man.

“I’m a lone martial artist who didn’t join any,” Dustin answered indifferently.

“That’s perfect. Harmony Sect needs talented young martial artists like you. Would you be interested in joining us?” Sophia asked earnestly.

If Dustin was able to defeat Yonah, it meant that he was on the same par as Jackson.

Dustin was so capable at such a young age. If Sophia could persuade him to join Harmony Sect, it would undoubtedly be a big achievement.

Most importantly, Dustin was way too nice-looking. He was Sophia’s ideal type, too.

“I’m used to being alone. Thus, I’m not interested in joining any sect.” Dustin shook his head in refusal.

“Dustin, it’s easy for a martial artist to be bullied if you only have yourself. It’s different if you have protection from Harmony Sect, though.

“With your talents, you’ll definitely be highly regarded once you join us!” Sophia tried to persuade.

“Even I can’t persuade him, not to mention Harmony Sect.” Aidan suddenly spoke from behind. Aidan always felt discontent that Dustin refused to be his disciple.

“This is …” Sophia glanced over and furrowed her eyebrows. However, she controlled herself to not throw a fit.

“Oh. I forgot to introduce him to you. This is Aidan, also known as Sandscale, “Jackson immediately said.

“What? Sandscale? The top five martial artists in Southwest?” Sophia widened her eyes in shock.

Aidan was a really powerful grandmaster martial artist. Plus, he was way more powerful than his sect’s leader.

However, it was rumored that Aidan rarely appeared. Thus, Sophia wondered why he was here, even teaming up with Jackson and the others.

“What? Is there a problem?” Aidan glanced at her indifferently.

“Nice to meet you! I heard my mentor saying that your martial skills are unparalleled.

“In fact, you’re so powerful that nobody can rival you. I’m really lucky to be able to meet you today!” Sophia immediately clasped her hands.

“Haha… You sure know your way with words.” Aidan’s expression softened a bit. Even if Aidan knew that Sophia was trying to flatter him, it still felt good to hear.

“All I’m saying is true. My mentor respects you a lot too. If you have the time, you can come to visit us at Harmony Sect.” Sophia invited.

“Let’s talk about it later,” Aidan said indifferently.

“Sophia, Fantasy Sea Alliance surrounded you all for a treasure. Thus, I was wondering about the treasure you managed to find. How about letting us take a look?” Garrett suddenly asked.

Fantasy Sea Alliance risked their lives to get the treasure from Harmony Sect.

Thus, Garrett was curious about the treasure. After all, the disciples from the Harmony Sect would rather lose their lives than hand it over.

“Treasure? What treasure?” Sophia pretended to know nothing.

“Sophia, why are you pretending? We all saw what happened just now. Why would Fantasy Sea Alliance want to kill you all if it wasn’t for a treasure?” Garrett asked meaningfully. 2

“That’s right. All we want is to take a look. We’re not going to snatch it away. Why are you being so stingy?” a short- haired woman from Black Scorpion Squad mocked.

“Don’t misunderstand. It’s not that I don’t want to let you all see, but I don’t have the treasure right now. Thus, I can’t show it to you all.” Sophia shook her head.

She understood that she had to keep the treasure hidden. If she really showed it to everyone, it might attract the attention of those with ill intentions.

“How could you not have it on you? It’s a treasure that you risked your life to protect, after all. What if you lose it?”

“I’ve already hidden the treasure so that nobody can find it. Once the backup from Harmony Sect arrives, I can show it to you all.

“If you guys want to have a look, please wait for a few more days,” Sophia said with a smile.

“Since you already put it this way, let’s just wait for a few days.” Garrett didn’t continue to argue.

He could tell that Sophia was very cautious. She wouldn’t easily reveal any information about the treasure.

Thus, she might get suspicious if Garrett continued pressing.

“Sophia, it’s dangerous over here. Why don’t I send you back first?” Jackson suddenly asked. All of Harmony Sect’s disciples had been killed. Now that Sophia was also injured, it would be dangerous for her to continue to stay here alone.

“Thank you, Jackson. However, I cannot leave yet.” Sophia shook her head.

“Why?” Jackson felt a bit odd.

“It’s because I found a place with treasures!” Sophia’s words were shocking.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
