Madelyn still kept her old phone, with contact notes personally edited by him, saved to that day. The phone Zach had brought over last time sat there untouched. Madelyn opted not to use it and continued with the old phone, which was completely useless now as it could only send messages and make calls.
In the study, Zach worried about Madelyn, who locked herself alone in the art studio. He pulled up the surveillance footage in the study and saw her staring at the phone intently. His eyes narrowed dangerously, and the coffee at hand suddenly slammed forcefully against the wall. A large patch of yellow-brown liquid remained on the white wall, and shards of glass scattered across the floor.

The servant was cleaning the room. Upon hearing the commotion from the study, she immediately walked in. “Mr. Jardin, what happened?”
Zach’s body trembled in anger. “Get out!”
The servant had never seen Zach so angry and frightened before. She trembled in fear and quickly turned around, running out without cleaning the room properly.
Madelyn was busy with her manuscript. Hearing the sudden vibration of the phone, she curiously put down her brush and checked. Suddenly, she saw a message from Kennedy.
