The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 944

Cecilia’s eyes flashed in excitement. She had been trying to prove something through countless probing and mocking. In both lifetimes, Madelyn was still the same. She had everything handed to her on a silver platter.

However, in this lifetime, Madelyn did not wish for anything. She only wanted a peaceful life. She looked for Ethan’s child and raised him to make amends for her mistakes toward him. He would not have been in that incident if it were not for her. It was like what Cecilia said in her past life: she was a walking disaster. Everyone around her would always be in danger and eventually leave her one by one.

Compared to Cecilia, Madelyn was much calmer. She replied, “Reincarnated? I don’t understand what you’re saying, Ms. Samford. Nevertheless, I still want to thank you for sending my brother back. That child is a fake, and Zach adopted him because he thought the child was pitiful. As for the rumors that the media had spread, you don’t need to worry about them.”

When Madelyn said this, she noticed Cecilia’s odd expression. It might be because she did not expect Madelyn to match her with Zach this way. Cecilia’s expression returned to normal as she smirked at Madelyn. She placed the ring back onto the dining table and said, “Of course, there is no

misunderstanding. I’ve been with Zach for so many years. That’s why I’m the most suitable person to be

Mrs. Jardin.”

‘It seems Madelyn was not reincarnated. Or else, her current actions would’ve driven her mad. She would scream at everyone,” Cecilia thought.

“Shut your mouth!” Instead of Madelyn getting mad, Zach was the first to go berserk. He grabbed a chair and tossed it to the side, narrowly missing a servant. Thankfully, the servant dodged to the side and avoided any injuries. Madelyn had her back facing Zach, but she could imagine how angry he was.

“If you dare take another step out today, don’t ever think of coming back again!” Zach screamed.

‘Brother?! When Madelyn threw a tantrum in the past, I would never take it to heart. However, she is growing more and more absurd these days. What does she plan to do by taking advantage of how I tolerate her?’ Zach thought.

All the servants did not dare make a sound. They were all shocked to their core.

‘Brother? Aren’t they husband and wife? Where did this Ms. Samford come from?’ The servants thought.

They had never seen Zach so angry at Madelyn before. He had always treated her with utmost care in the past. Ever since Cecilia came, they grew hostile toward each other. The loving husband and wife seemed to be breaking apart in front of the servants’ eyes.

When Zach finished screaming, Madelyn did not hesitate to run out of the Southern never looked back. From the moment she took her first step, Zach’s body shuddered. He took half a step forward with a conflicted expression. It was as if he held some regret at that very moment.

Cecilia could feel the helplessness in Zach, and her expression turned ugly. Although Zach had spoken harshly to Madelyn, Cecilia had never seen Zach this way throughout her two lifetimes. What did she do?

“Get out, all of you!” Zach bellowed.

Madelyn heard the sound of things being smashed coming from the living room. She dared not stop and got in a car. She quickly had Hayson’s previous chauffeur drive her away at the fastest speed possible.

The dishes prepared were all scattered on the floor. The floor was a mess, with shrapnel everywhere. The servant did not dare utter a word and retreated from the villa.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
