The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 919 by Max Charming

Mya curled up in the wardrobe, her body pressing against the wardrobe door. “Is he gone?”

Just as she muttered, the wardrobe was suddenly opened, and a strong light hit Mya. She anxiously tightened her grip on the pocket watch in her hand.

“I-I didn’t mean to, Fred, please don’t hit me. I won’t sneak downstairs for snacks again.” Mya shrank into the corner of the wardrobe, protecting her head.

“Come out, I won’t do anything to you! “Fred frowned when he saw her like this.

“Do you promise not to hurt me?”

Mya sounded like she was about to cry, and Fred reluctantly agreed, “Fine.”

“Let me pass.” After coming out of the wardrobe, Mya, holding the pocket watch, kept her distance from Fred. Mya pointed to the ground beneath him, saying, “Just stand there and don’t come over.”

“I won’t budge.”

Fred had never listened to a woman like this before.

Mya glanced at the photo inside the pocket watch and smiled, revealing the dimples on the corners of her lips. Then, she hung the pocket watch around her neck and tucked it into the collar of her shirt. “I’m so sorry, Fred! I didn’t mean to peek. I was just hungry and wanted to get something to eat downstairs. I didn’t expect to see you both doing…that. Don’t worry, next time I hear someone crying, I won’t walk over anymore.

“I swear!” Mya raised her hand, showing three fingers, not giving him time to speak. Then, she quickly ran to the bed and covered herself with a blanket. “Fred, you can go back to sleep now. I’m going to sleep too. I’m tired.”

Fred’s bedroom was right next to Mya’s. After Fred left Mya’s room, the woman in his room knelt on the ground, trembling. “M-Mr. Turner!”

Fred kicked the woman on the ground, glancing over the woman heartlessly as she curled up in pain silently.

She knew that she would be punished even more mercilessly if she had made a sound. After Fred had finished taking his anger out on this woman, she was already clinging to life on the ground.

The master treasured the pet he raised, but the pet did not care about the master’s feelings… A pet that was not well trained needed to be slowly disciplined to become obedient.

That night, Mya slept well without nightmares. However, her neck felt itchy. She wanted to turn, but she felt like something was pressing on her, making it hard to breathe.

Mya opened her eyes and saw a strange figure on her body. She quickly pushed the man off. “Fred, what are you doing?

He said seductively, “Cover me with the blanket, I’m cold. What’s wrong, don’t you don’t like it?”

“I don’t…” she began, but Fred stopped her from saying anything more with a kiss. Before Mya completely lost control of herself, she suddenly struggled violently. “No… Stop it, Fred.”

Fred stopped as he thought that she was unwell. “What’s wrong?”

Mya pretended to cover her stomach, ” My stomach hurts. You’re putting too much pressure on the baby.”

Seizing the opportunity, Mya crawled out from under him. However, before her feet could touch the ground, Fred saw through her act and brought his pet back with one hand.

As he kissed her, Mya quickly pushed Fred’s face away. “Fred, what we’re doing is wrong. My mom said I should only do this with someone I like.”

Fred’s eyes darkened. “We did it last time, and it felt good, didn’t it? Mya… don’t resist it, okay?”

Mya looked at him with clear eyes before shaking her head. “What we’re doing is wrong. I don’t like you, so we can’t do this.

“Th-That incident last time doesn’t count…”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
