The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 877

Madelyn thought, ‘In the past life, Zach locked me in the villa for eight years. Before I died, I even saw him announce his marriage to Cecilia on television. And now he’s telling me that he won’t have any other woman in the future?’

Madelyn pushed Zach away, “I’m going to take a shower now.”

She did not believe a single word he said. That night, she had the same nightmare again. She dreamt of Ethan being in an airplane crash…

A few days later, Mya was at home eating the pastries that Madelyn had sent over. Blake, who had just come out of the bathroom, had a towel wrapped around her head. Water was still dripping down from the ends of her hair.

Blake said, “Mya, stop eating. If you continue eating, you won’t be able to lose weight.”

Mya held different pastries in each hand and took a bite of each one. She then said, “I don’t mind getting a little fatter. Whatever Madelyn sent over, I’ll finish them all.”

Blake had to feel around to find her glasses. Not long after putting them on, her phone that was on the table suddenly rang. Before looking at the message, Blake’s mouth twitched involuntarily due to her frustration, “I can’t believe this. When’ll this ever end? Is he really treating me like an animal?

“Damn it, Kevin Harrison. I haven’t had a break from work for two months now.”

These days, Blake had been working late every night, causing her to have dark circles under her eyes. For the sake of her year-end bonus, she clenched her teeth and grabbed her phone to read and reply to the message.

Kevin texted: [Book a flight to Wrupant Village and plan the itinerary. After that, send it to my email.]

Blake was still gritting her teeth. She smiled as she replied to Kevin’s message with a voice message, “All right, Mr. Harrison. I’ll arrange it for you right away!”

Kevin responded: [I want to see you at the office at twelve-thirty in the afternoon. Or else, be prepared to face the consequences.”

Blake thought, ‘Twelve-thirty in the afternoon?’

She then yelled at her phone in anger, You’re freaking insane! I finally took a break and came back to wash my hair. And twelve-thirty is lunchtime. This is so unreasonable!”

Mya squinted and said contentedly, ” Blake, calm down. You’re disturbing me while I’m eating.”

She was holding a piece of strawberry lava cake. She opened her mouth and stuffed the entire piece of cake into her mouth. She narrowed her eyes in delight at the delicious taste. Right at that moment, the maid knocked on the door, “Ms. Harper, someone’s sent a gift.”

“Gift?” Mya’s eyes lit up, “It must be a gift Madelyn sent me.”

Mya then eagerly got up and ran to the door. She saw the maid holding a large pink gift box, “Ah… Madelyn’s too kind.

Mya took the gift box and said to the maid, “Go pack the best thing in the house and send it over to her. Also, pack it in a pink gift box.”

The maid hesitated and wanted to say something, but Mya had already closed the door. She then sat cross-legged on the carpet and started opening the gift box.

As soon as she opened the box, she saw that it was full of newly purchased lingerie and some strange items…

Blake quickly packed her things before putting on her backpack. Before she left, she said, “Mya, I’m going back to the company. Remember to keep the door unlocked for me tonight.”

Mya did not hear Blake. She just muttered to herself, “Was it really Madelyn who sent these? Why’d she send me these things?

“This bra is almost transparent. Isn’t it a little inappropriate to wear?”

Meanwhile, as per Mya’s instructions, the maid downstairs found some packaged high-grade dill and mint in the underground warehouse.

She then walked out of the entrance door and handed the packaged gifts to a black military vehicle, “S-Sir, this is a little something from Ms. Harper. We hope you’ll like it.”

The deputy warden in the driver’s seat looked up and met Fred’s eyes through the rearview mirror. When Fred nodded, the deputy warden rolled down the window and accepted the item from the maid.

Fred’s deep voice could then be heard, ” She personally took it?”

The maid did not know who he was, but she believed Fred was an influential person. She cautiously said, “Yes, Ms. Harper received it and was very happy….

Fred was very satisfied with the response, “I’ll accept the return gift.

“Now, drive!”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
