The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 867 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 867

Suddenly, Kevin walked into Zach’s office. “Mr. Jardin, Felicia Bolton wants to see you. Should I let her in?” Felicia Bolton was the celebrity who had been caught having an intimate relationship with Zach recently.

Zach put down his phone as his gaze turned cold. “No,” he said flatly.

Kevin nodded, “Got it, Mr. Jardin.”

Felicia waited downstairs at the Jardin Corporation wearing a pair of sunglasses. The receptionist received a call and apologized to Felicia, “I’m sorry, Ms. Bolton, but Mr. Jardin is not in his office right now.”

With her seductive lips, she said, “He’s out, huh? I’ll come back later then.” Then, she left the office in an MPV. “Any news?” her manager asked nervously.

Felicia shook her head in disappointment. “He’s not in his office.”

“This is your last chance. There’s no one who can help you besides him. Felicia, you’ve been really careless this time.”

“I’ll find a way to get through this.”

“It looks like we have no other option. I know a few people who work as paparazzi and can help you gather information about him. When the time comes, you’ve got to seize the opportunity. Don’t let me down again.”

“Okay,” Felicia responded.

The MPV then drove away as Felicia needed to go to Marisburg for a shoot. However, half an hour into the journey, several black cars stopped in front of the MPV. Suddenly, a group of people got out of the cars and started wrecking the MPV.

Felicia panicked and started yelling.

The driver had already been pinned down on the ground by the attackers, whereas Felicia was forcibly taken into one of the black cars.

“What are you doing? Let go of me!”

Felicia’s blue dress was torn apart as she struggled, and one of the attackers covered her mouth and nose. She caught a whiff of a pungent smell and fell into unconsciousness.

When she woke up again, she found herself in a filthy prison cell. A piercing cold wind blew, and Felicia realized that her clothes had been changed into a sexy, translucent dress.

She weakly propped herself up from the ground, her eyes in a state of panic and fear. She looked at the man in black uniform who exuded a hostile and chilling aura.

She saw the terrifying scar on the man’s face and stammered. “Wh-Who are you?”

The man did not answer.

Fred lifted Felicia’s chin with the black baton he was holding as his gaze wandered down to her chest. “It

seems like his taste in women isn’t so bad after all.

He turned to the deputy warden and ordered, “Take her to my office.”

The deputy warden took the black baton from Fred and said, “Yes, sir.”

Felicia did not understand what he meant at all. She was still dazed from the effect of the drug as she

was forcibly dragged away.

She was brought to a bed in a hidden room, where iron chains were affixed to the bedposts on both sides. Then, the men placed her on the bed, with her hands and feet shackled.

“N-No…

“Who are you people? What do you want from me?”

After the others walked outside and closed the door, she was left alone with the terrifying man.

He took off his belt. “Such great taste he has.”

“No, I belong to Zach Jardin. Y-You can’t touch me!”

“Is that so? I’ve always enjoyed being with other guys’ girlfriends. Even if he discovers, what can he really do to me?”

Felicia’s screams echoed across the hidden room.

After he was done, Fred buttoned his black uniform back up while Felicia trembled, struggling to cover herself with her dress.

She wailed and threw the pillow in her hand at Fred, yelling, “You asshole. I’m going to call the police on you!”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
