The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 765 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 765

As Zach approached, Yvonne’s heart raced. She was speechless, both from seeing him at the hospital and the realization that he knew she was there. He took the test report from her hands, his icy gaze fixed on her. Before she knew it, Zach’s bodyguards were escorting her away. The weight of his silent intensity filled her with dread about what might come next.

Zach did not like it when people nosed around in his private matters. Yvonne had done just that by finding out a secret he shared with Madelyn. She remembered a night when she knelt outside the Jent residence in the rain. Zach had ignored her, showing that he really did not care. She felt that if she vanished, Zach would not care about that either.

“Zach, tell them to let me go!” Yvonne pleaded, her panic evident as she struggled. She looked at Zach’s distant back, “Where are we going, Zach? What are you going to do? I’m so sorry for snooping! I promise I won’t tell anyone about it. Please trust me.”

‘Zach and Madelyn are siblings. It’s hard to believe… Zach must be aware of their relationship.

Yet, he still has an intimate relationship with her that wasn’t appropriate. Why doesn’t he worry about the repercussions? These emotions between siblings are unheard of. How could Zach do this?’

The doctor watched as Yvonne was escorted away. Shortly after, his phone buzzed with a call. Answering, he said, ” She saw the fake report.”

Kai replied with a hint of satisfaction,” Good job. I’ll make sure the new hospital tools arrive tomorrow.”

“Thank you, Dr. Stewart.”

Kai leaned back in his chair after ending the call, ‘Zach, I’m curious to see the lengths you’ll take to keep your secret for her sake.’ He once believed Zach had no weaknesses. Kai held the real report in his hand, while the one Yvonne saw was fake.

His thoughts were interrupted by a knock. The door opened, revealing a nurse, “Dr. Stewart, this came from Hope Haven Community Hospital.”

“Give it to me.” Kai swiftly tore open the document. His eyes widened, ‘They aren’t related by blood?’ he thought. ‘I was sure about Zach’s blood test. He’s Hayson’s son. Then why isn’t he related to Madelyn?’ Feeling puzzled, he paused to think, ‘Did I get something wrong? No, I couldn’t have.’ He then had a sudden realization, ‘If everything else is correct, maybe Madelyn isn’t really Hayson’s daughter after all.’

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
