The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 706

Madelyn said, “What are you doing? Put me down.”

Zach responded, “This is a compensation for the slap.” He then put her on the bed before pressing against and kissing her. Madelyn pushed him away forcefully,  Take a shower. You haven’t showered… You smell.”

In less than half a minute, Zach’s breathing became erratic. He panted in her ear as he said in a low, hoarse voice, “We’ll shower after we’re done.”

Madelyn responded, “No!”

Zach kissed her lips and said, “You said no, but your body says otherwise.” He stretched his hand from under her dress and lifted it. He then started the act. Madelyn felt a sense of pleasure and let out a soft moan.

The new bed which was just bought less than a month ago started creaking. It was still early when they returned from the hospital.

Zach quickly washed her body. The shower gel in his hand slipped to her lower abdomen. Zach stared at it for a few seconds. Suddenly, he felt a subtle emotion in his chest…

He carried Madelyn out from the water, dried her off, and then put her back onto the bed. After that, he hugged her as they fell asleep.

Madelyn slept for over two hours and woke up sore. Zach was still sleeping very soundly. He did not sleep at all last night.

She removed his hand from her waist, changed into her clothes, and left the room. She then saw people coming in and out of the living room. Kevin was there, too. The housekeeper came back from her time off and cooked in the kitchen.

A worker carried some items into the room and asked, “Which of you is Ms. Madelyn Jent? All the ordered items have been delivered. Please sign for them.”

Kevin passed the order to Madelyn, Mr. Jardin purchased these baby items in your name. You can check if there’s anything else you need.” Madelyn hesitated before accepting it. She looked at the list and thought, ‘He actually bought so many things.’

She entered the baby room that had been set up in just a few hours. She glanced around and said, “That’s all for now, Thank you.”

The housekeeper said, “Ms. Jent, the meal is ready.”

She then placed a pot of mushroom soup on the table. Madelyn was already seated. She then served herself a bowl of soup. The housekeeper asked, “Should I call Mr. Jardin?”

Madelyn responded, “After I’m finished eating.” She did not want to eat with him. After settling the bill, Kevin put down a card in front of Madelyn, “This is an exclusive membership card for the baby store. You can use it unlimitedly for whatever you want to buy.”

Madelyn did not take it, “Put it down.”

Kevin frowned and suppressed the displeasure in his eyes. He left after putting the card down. His attitude toward Madelyn remained the same as before. Zach woke up and did not see Madelyn beside him. There was only her nightgown that was taken off.

He grabbed it and smelled the alluring scent. The first thought that came to his mind was to keep Madelyn by his side.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
