The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 562

Dorian mentioned the address they were going to and then asked the concierge, “Excuse me, does the hotel offer a shuttle service to this location?”

The concierge said, “A private car service is available for 200 dollars with a 100-dollar service fee.”

Dorian exclaimed, “Oh my! That’s way too expensive. What about them? We are with the two who just left. Why don’t we have a car when they do?”

The concierge explained, “I apologize, sir. It’s an exclusive VIP service provided by our hotel. The young lady you mentioned is a distinguished member of this hotel, so she enjoys this service free of charge.”

Dorian curiously asked, “How much does it cost to become a member?” The concierge responded with a friendly smile, “Three million dollars in cash.”

“What! So expensive? Oh my! If only I had known, I would have gone with her.

Jane turned somewhat frosty under the sun, saying, “It’s difficult to find a taxi now. We’ll pay the 300 dollars. Please arrange a car for us.

Dorian exclaimed, “Come on! Don’t spend recklessly. We still have three months ahead of us. Let’s not go broke later.”

Jane said, “Professor Monet said all decisions are up to me.”

After Clement helped Madelyn complete the enrollment procedures, he left. Madelyn was concerned that he might have trouble finding a taxi, so she had the driver take him. The driver would naturally come to pick her up when it was time for her to return from school.

The world’s top-tier Art Academy had the most profound influence on the art world. Everything around Madelyn was unfamiliar. Even if she was afraid, she had to overcome it alone.

Leyton said inside the CEO’s office in Ventropolis, “I just received a message from them. Ms. Jent has completed her enrollment. Mr. Arnold, you can rest assured.”

Ethan leaned back in his chair with his eyes closed. “She always encounters danger every time she leaves on her own. This time is different. You must ensure her safety at all times and prevent any danger.”

Leyton nodded, “Rest assured, Mr. Arnold. There are bodyguards discreetly protecting Ms. Jent. Nothing will happen to her.”

“Have they been found now?” Ethan’s tone instantly became grave.  Leyton nodded, “Yes, we’ve located them. However, Mrs. Arnold Sr. had already taken Ms. Jolie and the child to the Arnold residence before us. At this point, they might have already arrived.”

Just as Leyton finished speaking, Ethan received a call from the Arnold residence, asking him to come over. It was inevitable. So, Ethan delegated his current work to Leyton and drove alone to the Arnold residence. On the way, he experienced a panic he had never felt before. His mind was distracted. The faces of Madelyn, Donna, and the unknown presence haunted his thoughts.

He first learned about the child’s existence when he saw the results of a paternity test. It included a photo of the child who bore a striking resemblance to him, an unexpected addition to his life. It felt like a spell echoing in his ears, constantly causing him anxiety.

An hour later, he finally arrived at the destination. Ethan walked in through the door. Before he could get a clear look, a small figure wrapped itself around his leg, calling out to him with a soft voice, “Daddy.”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
