The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning By Max Charming chapter 454

Halfway through the meal, Madelyn pretended to go to the restroom and left the private room.
As a result, the people who wanted to inquire about some gossip from her had no chance to
do so.

There was a balcony outside the restaurant on the fifth floor. Madelyn requested a cup of hot
water from a waiter and sat on the balcony. After a while, someone sat opposite her and
asked, “When are you planning to return to school? Your number two position in the whole
grade is at risk.”

Other than discussing questions on school subjects, Kennedy rarely spoke this much.
Madelyn did not respond to his question. Instead, she asked, “Are the Math Olympiad results
out yet? How did you do?”

Kennedy responded, “First place. Most people got scholarships. Jadie got it too.”
Madelyn nodded, “As expected.” She thought, “Why did he specifically mention Jadie?‘
Kennedy continued, “Even so, I won’t give up the first–place position to you.”

Madelyn rarely appeared relaxed in front of him. She replied, “I don’t need you to give it to me.
I’ll get first place. It’ll be good for you to experience what it’s like to be second.”

Kennedy smirked, “If you surpass me, you’ll be the top scorer for the college entrance exam in
the whole nation. But… you deserve this honor.”
He had guessed long ago that she would return to school someday because she was different
from other people.

The evening breeze tousled Madelyn’s hair. She looked at the distant bright city lights and
said, “Of course. By the way, why are you here?”
Kennedy said in earnest, “I’m the founder of SkyTech!”

Madelyn gave him a confused look. Kennedy had attractive single eyelids. When he lowered them, he appeared as if he was dissatisfied with the world. He continued, “Very few people know about that. I don’t usually have time to run the company. So, I have my friends to help me manage it.”

Madelyn was impressed, “You’re as outstanding as ever.”
Kennedy smiled, “Welcome to SkyTech!”
Madelyn laughed, “I’ll consider it!TM

Kennedy chuckled, “Sure. Take your time to think about it. You can offer me the salary you
desire.” After he said that, he left with his hands in his pockets.
When Madelyn picked up the cup of water, it was already cold.

When she went back to the private room, she ran into Ethan and Donna, who were coming
out of their room. They made eye contact with Madelyn
Madelyn was wearing her black hooded coat. She looked at Ethan indifferently before
glancing at Leyton, who trailed behind him. She quietly stepped aside to make way for them.

Everyone was leaving at the same time. Kennedy helped Madelyn carry her bag. They
finished the meal in less than two hours.
Kennedy said, “Shall I give you a ride? It’s not easy to get a taxi now.”
Madelyn frowned, “Thank you.”

Kennedy replied, “You’re welcome.”
A group of people entered the elevator.

When Kennedy and Madelyn saw that the elevator was crowded, they did not try to squeeze in However, Ethan stopped the elevator door with his hand and made space, “Do you want to come in?”
People around him started to squeeze inside to make space

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
