The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 451 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning By Max Charming chapter 451

The school would occasionally call the villa’s landline. However, Madelyn wanted peace. So,
she unplugged all the telephone lines. She did not even know where her handphone was. She
had completely isolated herself from the outside world.

She spent her days following a routine. She would eat, sleep, draw, and occasionally water
the flowers in the garden when she was in a good mood.

At the Azure Corporation, Zach had his hand in his pocket as he walked out of the conference
room. Kevin was following beside him. Zach asked, “How’s the situation at the Southern Haven Villas?”

Kevin reported, “After Ms. Jent returned from the hospital, she’s been locking herself inside
the villa. She hasn’t left the house for a long time.”
Zach’s eyes were gloomy and mysterious as he said, “Okay.”

When he went back to his office, he sat at the desk. He accidentally moved the mouse. The
computer screen displayed a girl wearing a knee–length white floral–print leisure pajama. She
was sitting cross–legged in the villa’s living room, washing her paintbrush.

Her seductive
curves near her chest could be seen when it was zoomed in. Her breasts were huge. It
seemed like she was not wearing a bra. The thin fabric revealed her two protruding points,
arousing endless fantasies.

Zach grabbed the cup of coffee and took a sip, trying to suppress the restlessness in his lower
abdomen.
He thought, ‘Actually, Madelyn can do nothing, and it won’t be a problem. Even if she’s
completely useless, I can ensure she lives a worry–free life forever.‘

For the past few days, Madelyn had constantly been watched by him. He knew whatever she did.
On the screen, Madelyn supported herself on the couch and stood up. But she could not stand
steadily. Just when it seemed she was about to fall, Zach could not help but feel frightened.

Luckily, the servant appeared in time to support her.
Zach followed her movement and saw the cartons of milk that had been left in the corner.
He frowned as he thought, ‘I remember she’d drink a cup of milk after waking up every day.
But now, it seems like she no longer wants to drink milk.

Although it was a habit that she’d maintained for eighteen years, she could just drop the habit
effortlessly.‘ Margaret supported Madelyn to go upstairs. She nagged, “Ms. Jent, you eat so little for the
entire day; you must have low blood sugar. Get some rest for a while. I’ll bring your meal up to
you when I’m done cooking.”

Madelyn lay on the bed. She calmly said, “Go check the mailbox for any new mail.”
Margaret abided, “Okay.”
Madelyn thought, ‘It’s been quite some time. There should be some news by now.‘
A few minutes later, Margaret came upstairs with a thick envelope. She said, “I took this from
the mailbox just now. Ms. Jent, what is it?”

Madelyn grabbed the envelope and opened it. She then took out an invitation letter with
golden embossed letters on it, inviting her to attend an award ceremony in three days.
A rare smile appeared on Madelyn’s face as she said, “I’ve won an award.”

Margaret exclaimed excitedly, “Oh my, really?! What award is it?”
Madelyn shook her head, “I’m not sure yet. It seems like they’ll announce the awards on the
day of the ceremony.”

Back then, she just did the painting to give it a shot. Other than the prize money, there was
also a possibility of a work contract. She had followed online discussions about it; it seemed
valuable.

Since the Math Olympiad exam was fruitless, she decided to try another path.
She thought there were countless possibilities in life. So, she decided to give it a try even if
she could not do anything else.

Margaret said, “Ms. Jent, I received a call on my phone from an unfamiliar number not long
ago. That person didn’t say anything. I guess they were just looking for you.”

Margaret would not have mentioned it if it was just an ordinary phone number. However, the
phone number was full of the number eight.

She had lived most of her life, but it was her first time seeing such a thing. Since she did not know who it was, she did not dare to call back.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
