The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning By Max Charming chapter 358

Yvonne was still lost in her thoughts, If I regard her as my future sister-in- law, I don’t mind saying a few apology words to her. Who knows, we might become a family in the future.

‘However, Madelyn and Jadie can never become family. Jadie won’t be able to stay in a relationship with Zach for too long. That cunning old man, Hayson, is always tactful. On one hand, he got close to the Arnold family by using her daughter. On the other hand, he can rely on his godson to gain cooperation with the Young family.’

Hayson indeed knew what was best for him. Yvonne had seen many people willing to do whatever it took for power and status, even abandoning their wives and children. She believed Zach could let go of Jadie.

In the Azure Corporation, Hayson was sitting in the CEO’s seat. After stepping down from his position, he rarely came to the company. Zach was standing nearby as he handed the most recent financial report to Hayson.

The revenue this time had increased by thirty-two percent compared to the previous period. This high revenue had never been achieved by the company ever since it was founded.

These figures could bring a significant benefit to the Jent family. Hayson said, “The company seems to have performed well recently. You’ve done well.”

Zach nodded, “Father, you’re too kind. Much of the company’s success is due to the support from the Arnold Corporation. We can expand the company in less than half a year.”

Hayson nodded, ‘This is undeniable. All thanks to my daughter’s capabilities to capture Ethan’s attention.’ Hayson asked, “How’s Madelyn doing in the Arnold family recently? Have you visited her?”

Zach answered, “Madelyn has been busy with her studies. I rarely get to see her. I only got to chat with her a little when I occasionally picked up Jadie from school.” When Jadie was mentioned, Hayson’s face darkened, “You two are still in a relationship?”

Zach calmly said, “Yes.” “Then you need to properly consider whether you want an insignificant woman or to be at the top of society with everyone looking up to you. You’re not young anymore.”

Hayson put the document down and walked over to Zach. He patted Zach’s shoulder, continuing, “I care about Madelyn. But you’re my son, too. You need to understand what I’m thinking. You need to remember everything I say. Don’t let a teenage girl divert you.

“If you persist in your mistake, you’ll surely regret it in the future!” Zach thought, ‘Divert by a teenage girl?’ A girl’s figure appeared in Zach’s mind. His eyes turned gloomy.

Then, Hayson said, “All right. I’m going back now. Take your time to think properly. You have three days. If you can’t make a choice, I’ll do it for you.”

His words might sound innocuous, but there was a subtle threat to them. After Hayson put down his hand, he suddenly felt dizzy and swayed backward. Zach said, “Father!”

He managed to support him promptly. Hayson shook his head, “I’m fine. You can go and do your work!”

Zach responded, “Okay.”

After Hayson left, an alluring black figure came out from the lounge. Jasmine was wearing a tight black lace gown. The lace stand-up collar made her look like she had a tattoo on her neck. A white furry scarf was draped over her shoulders. Her movements were graceful and seductive.

It was hard to imagine that someone like her used to be a respected teacher.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
